BlackBeartic
So has anyone played these games recently or a long time ago? I recently had a nostalgia outbreak and decided to download MMBN 3 - White (Man's choice cuz no folderback) from the E shop channel. (They give you the exclusive chips you'd need to trade over, which is why i bought it from there instead of using a rom + other reasons). I'm having a lot of fun, but post game is what i'm most looking forward to. Anyone else played these games?
Trebuchet MS
Battle Network 1-6, and Star Force 1-3. Look in my sig, I believe that thread with BN cards is still there. Disappointed that OSS is just MMBN1 with a little bit of extra content and * codes. They could do better!
Flame Dragon
I picked a weird place to start with BN4. I enjoyed it, but having to replay the game a bunch was kind of dumb. Also has Blue Moon so Wood Soul + Grass Terain + Live with 1 health was busted as hell. I got 5 as well as the DS version of 5 and that was cool. Personal favorite was 6 though. Really liked the beast soul and the crosses in that. I played the first Star Force, but it felt too much like a watered down BN. Fine, but strange design choices held it back imo. Any chance you'd make Zoano versions of the navis (I'd ask about asteroids, but they don't seem much different besides the "materialize giant versions IRL and no weaknesses thing") I picked a weird place to start with BN4. I kinda hate that with all that hype up til serenade, after you beat him nothing really changes. You don't get recognized or anything (probably because serenade is post game but still... it's always bothered me because the ranking system was an in game event) 6 was awesome, loved falzar version but i played both. However i only completed post game on Falzar. I can feel you on SF though, when my dad bought the first one for me when i was younger i almost immediately put it up to dust. I gave it a try and it took a bit but i finally got addicted to it. MMBN is better all the way though :D

I did make "Beast Factor" which can pseudo-Beast Form any Netnavi for that purpose though, so I guess that'd count.
Nicο
Started with 5, continued with 6, once the first 1 was put up on e-shop I realized what a mistake that was, but that was my childhood, I didn't really know how much better those games were than the beginning. Like, the gameplay and story. Obviously gameplay is the same, but they tweak it bit by bit to the point where I can honestly say that despite its oddities I had more fun playing the first SF than the first BN. Couldn't really say for which was the better story, they both kinda sucked, but they both definitely got better, and in both aspects, too. And because of the aforementioned tweaking bit by bit, I can't see me not preferring SF 3 to most of BN, I really loved that 1. When it comes to the Noise Changes, yeah some of them can be broke, but I probably suck too much for that to matter, besides the ones that are clearly suppose to be way more powerful. But yeah, that there, I actually prefer to I think any of the other transformations I've seen. Not to say they aren't all pretty cool.

MMBN 4 had Air Hock Spam (Air Hock Spam.network)MMBN 6 had broken things with the crosses. SF 3 had sword fighter.... that card is ridiculousSF 2 had the rogue thing (it was in SF3 but it wasn't called rogue noise in SF2). I wouldn't say you suck at all XD you know what's cheap and that's all that matters :P Zoano Navis are more weekly villains in the anime, and I highly doubt they'd differ largely from the originals. Dementuo
Never actually played 1 or 2, but I've played and replayed (and 100%'d) 3-6 a million times over. The series is just so incredibly good and the level of customization they allow you is fantastic. From using some bundle of over 300 different chips, the Style Changes/Soul Unisons/Cross Links, and the godlike Navicust, the series caught my attention again and again, and I enjoyed every playthrough thoroughly. There were a load of optional bosses and events you could do in every game, there was always a new area to explore even after beating the "final" boss, a metric fuckton of collectables and upgrades, including the hundreds of chips to find, and all the showdowns with Bass/Forte... The series is honestly my favorite GBA series ever.

I've played 3 a lot of times and when i was younger particularly i would get farther and farther with each playthrough (because gba games liked to delete saves if you dropped it or it froze for some reason) and eventually i even made it to the omega navis. I didn't play 4 so much, but 5 and 6 were pretty much the same :P
Shradow
I played every BN game (not every version, though), and 100% a lot of them. Had tons of fun, and even teared up a bit at the end of 6 when I found out it was the end of the series.

Trebuchet MS
SF 2 had the rogue thing (it was in SF3 but it wasn't called rogue noise in SF2).I felt that Rogue Tribes weren't quite worth it. You give up Link Power (and hence your customization space) and the ability to use Mega Chips for this. Granted, it makes Scythe chips really powerful, but barring that a lot of Sword cards in SF2 were single-hit. And your Rogue Big Bang is only viable in PvP. Now Rogue Noise, on the other hand, is a different story, now that we have 5x Sword Fighter 3 and 5x Sword Fighter X and invis-piercing red noise gauge to shred bosses in seconds. You still give up some LP for this, but customization space is a lot more generous in SF3. Every game had its game breakers, TBH.BN1 has 10x Fighter Swords and the fact that the bosses had pathetically low HP. (Virus encounters are an entirely different problem.)BN2 had Gater.BN3 had Folderback and ridiculous numbers of boostable multi-hit chips, like Plantman and Bubbleman.BN4 had the random Full Synchro perk, and Metal Soul being able to charge SuperVulcan on demand.BN5 had Chaos Unisons and the ability to cheese them with the pause button.BN6 gives ridiculous fluidity to folders with an incredible number of *-coded chips. LifeSword * anybody? SF1 and SF2 had Best Combo and Favourite problems. Especially when you can turn your GX Giga card into a White card.SF3 has Rogue Noise, described above. Toffee.
Played BN 5 and 6. Part of me wants to get the others off the WiiU VC. Played Starforce 1-3. ..... Starforce 1 was weird, sure. SF2 was really damn good. SF3 was a silly version of SF2, but was enjoyable.

Toffee.
Well... SF2 had some awkward story bits, namely the fact how Solo's backstory became a bit inconsistent, seeing as how they implied him to be 'the last remaining member' in game 1, then suddenly we find his entire family in game 2, which threw all of that out of the window. Or, whatever. Game 3's post-game stuff was amazing, btw.
Agro
I started with 4, so I bought everything after that. I only have Double Team DS instead of 5, and I tracked down and bought 3 after playing all the others. Plan on going back to try and get 1 & 2 at some point but we'll see. Played all the starforce, own Pegasus and ZerkerxSaurian I waited a few years on getting 3 so I ended up with Red Joker instead of what I would have bought when it first came out in Black Ace. The latter of which is rarer apparently but whatever. There's only one game that I 100%'d but for the life of me, I can't remember which it was. Want to say it was one of the Starforce games. Can't say which one I like more, or think is better tbh. I want to say BN, but the more I think about it, they're on equal footing to me.

Blue's the technical better version but if you want a little bit of a challenge go with the White version. If you do make sure you read the bottom of the description of the game because it tells you something important that you need to do if you want to 100% the game. King K. Azo
They were an interesting take on the Mega Man Universe. But why the hell did Zero have to infest this series as well? Screw Zero.

I don't recall where he appeared in this series though..Well, here's the thing. It's called Mega Man. And yet, he gets his own series, ZX might as well be just Zero, that's what it is, he gets in all the fighting games of recent years...And he's not even that good or powerful.Everyone's all "Oh, the X series is so dark". No, compared to the Classics, that series looks like Barney. And I can think of a lot of Robot Masters from the classics much better than Zero. Sorry, went off subject, but... Urge, he's so overrated!
