Trebuchet MS
I thought the whole issue with Genex was that their strategies were spread too thinly among incredibly weak cards such that they couldn't accomplish anything remarkable on their own. The Nyx Avatar
I made this Field Spell due to absolutely no consistency in the archetype. Many archetypes have consistency. However, this is one of those in which Konami just didn't care.
Sir Yamiegg
I thought the whole issue with Genex was that their strategies were spread too thinly among incredibly weak cards such that they couldn't accomplish anything remarkable on their own. That's the overall problem. This card ignores the useless cards and focuses on a subset of the archetype - the numerous searchers - and makes them playable, which is a good thing. However, it's still kinda mediocre. If Nyx added a Tensu effect, that would be some real change to their pace and power. I made this Field Spell due to absolutely no consistency in the archetype. Many archetypes have consistency. However, this is one of those in which Konami just didn't care.I agree with "Konami didn't care". But actually Genex have a ton of consistency, just no way to utilise it. R-Genex Turbo, Crusher and Magma, Power Planner, Blastfan, perhaps Neutron and even Undine; those seems like enough Stratoses to me. The archetype is just far, FAR too slow and they have no power plays. TOTALLY OFF-TOPIC: Actually, the massive amount of Stratos in the archetype persuaded me to make a very silly/derpy Ultimate Genex OTK deck. Ultimate Offering + all the Stratos makes OTKs. This was on Yugioh Network, which now doesn't exist, but while it did it was stuck in September 2011 format, where Offering was at 3 and Brio/Trish were at 1. There's a loop with the searchers: Crusher > Turbo > Power Planner > Magma > Crusher... At any point you could search Birdman instead of Magma, return something to hand, Summon it again and continue to loop. This loop works when opening with any of the searchers. Deck was something like this: The loop didn't happen all that often, but it was hilarious when I pulled it off. I digress. This card (with added Tensu effect) fixes a lot of the problem, but they still need a power play that they can recover from if it doesn't go through. And if anyone actually read all this sheet, they deserve a rep.

Sir Yamiegg
Idk what to say bout it, but where did you get the image from/did you make it? I made Genex support a while ago and I couldn't find anything as good as that.
The Nyx Avatar
It's the image of an anime-only card called "Divergence", which I couldn't even find on YGO Pro. I think it was used in the first episode of the Meklords arc.
Tojin
Found it. In regards to the card, as a Genex player, this is beautiful. It adds much-needed consistency to the archetype. It doesn't single-handedly make them competitive, which is good, but it's very much appreciated. I think I'm gonna make some Genex support of my own now. Sir Yamiegg
The first effect being mandantory really hurts it.
cardffreakxx
id say you can only use 1 effects of the field per turn... I know its genex and all but, i feel that it could be abused
Dramatic Crossroad
So you want to make a field spell counterpart to R-Genex Accelerator?! OK. Taking reference from "Brain Research Lab", the effect your would want to start with is the Normal Summon addition one. I don't see any meaning in limiting it as much, i think someone desperate enough to play another copy after this one should might as well get the bloody normal summon :) Short and to the point: Once per turn, you can Normal Summon 1 "Genex" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. Following with the second limited activation effect (this one needs limitation however): Once per turn: You can banish 1 "Genex" monster from your Graveyard; add 1 "Genex" monster with a different name from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate this effect of "Genex Contact" once per turn. as for latest Grammar: CONDITION / colon / COST /semicolon/ EFFECT / dot. From there on it gets tricky. Like Sir Yamiegg noted - the mandatory summon can really hurt you, let say you choose to play Neutron and have your Tuner sacked with little/no effort during your opponent's turn. I think if you want to a sub' for Accelertor, just take copy its litteral effect OR you can modify it to be more versatile: When exactly 1 "Genex" monster is added to your hand (except by this card's effect or drawing it), you can reveal that monster to Special Summon it. This suggestion kind of closes a door for "abuse" with Backup Soldier and 3x Genex Controller :D. Also, it will no longer work like Swiftstrike Armor, didn't know if it was intended in your original idea.
