Phantom Roxas
Topic. The five cards I'm talking about are Rainbow Neos, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, Dragoon D-End, Neos Wiseman, and of course, Elemental Hero God Neos. Let's look into further detail. Rainbow Neos: Pretty good effect and the strongest warrior ever. The problem is that it somehow lost the title of "Elemental Hero". He has the least problems. Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon: Insanely broken in the OCG. Let's compare effects. Anime: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by Tributing 1 "Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon" equipped with "Magic Reflector Armor - Metal Plus". This card gains 400 ATK for each Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard. You can negate the effect of Spell Cards that target this card. You can discard 1 Dragon-Type monster from your hand to the Graveyard to negate the Activation and Effect of any Spell Card your opponent controls. Okay, it'll take a while to summon, but it's worth it. The only problem is that you can negate your opponent's spells whenever you can, which makes it stronger. Anyway, look at the OCG effect. OCG: This card can be Special Summoned by removing from play 1 Dragon-Type monster you control. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster except "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" from your hand or Graveyard. Wow, we don't need two tributes, we can just remove ONE Dragon on our field from play. Not only that, we can get another dragon every turn! Perfect in a Dragon Beatdown Deck and also helpful in getting out a Blue-Eyes. Really overpowered. Dragoon D-End: Okay, the main problem is that while it's a Fusion of the two best Destiny Heroes(Wait, Fusions work in Destiny Hero Decks), it loses the title of Destiny Hero AND some ATK strength! Neos Wiseman: Both versions are pretty much the same, except for a few noticeable problems. Read the effects. Anime: "Elemental Hero Neos" + 1 "Yubel" monsterThis card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon with the above Fusion Material Monsters. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects. When this card battles an opponent's monster, inflict damage equal to its ATK to your opponent and gain Life Points equal to its DEF. When this card is destroyed by battle, you can remove from play 1 "Yubel" from your Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Elemental Hero Neos" from your Graveyard. So it's a Fusion of Neos and any Yubel monster? Sweet! Also, if we somehow DO lose Neos Wiseman, we're still safe because we can get Neos back! I wonder how things would be like if this was an Elemental Hero? OCG: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by sending 1 "Elemental Hero Neos" and 1 "Yubel" you control to the Graveyard. When this card battles, at the end of the Damage Step, inflict damage to your opponent's Life Points equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster, and you gain Life Points equal to that monster's DEF. This card cannot be destroyed by a card effect. Okay pretty similar to the anime, but with three major problems. It's not a fusion. You need Neos and Yubel on the FIELD! Not only that, it has to be the original Yubel! Also, if your opponent somehow manages to destroy this monster, you're screwed since you can't get Neos back. And now, last but absolutely not least: Elemental Hero God Neos Probably one of the BEST Neos monsters. In the anime, at least. Just watch. Anime: "Elemental Hero Neos" + 6 different "Neo-Spacian" monstersThis card can only be Special Summoned from your Fusion Deck by returning the above mentioned cards you control or in your Graveyard to your Deck. (You do not use Polymerization). By selecting 1 "Elemental Hero" or "Neo-Spacian" monster in your Deck and removing it from play, this card gains the effect of the removed monster until the End Phase. This card gains 500 ATK for each card removed from play this way. 3000/2500 Ooh, that's gonna be hard to summon. I think you can use Vision of the Future to summon this easily? Besides, he has a pretty good effect and he's pretty strong. Now the horribly broken OCG version. OCG: This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Fusion Summon. The Fusion Material Monsters for this card are any 6 "Neos", "Neo-Spacian", "Elemental Hero", "Destiny Hero" or "Evil Hero" monsters, with a minimum of 1 "Neos", 1 "Neo-Spacian" and 1 "Elemental Hero", "Destiny Hero" or "Evil Hero" required. Once per turn, by removing from play 1 "Neos", "Neo-Spacian", "Elemental Hero", "Destiny Hero" or "Evil Hero" monster in your Graveyard, this card gains 500 ATK, and gains the removed card's effect until the end of the turn.2500/2500 You. Have. Got. To be. Kidding. Me. How in the hell am I supposed to summon this? After all that effort just to summon him, all I get is a monster with only 2500 ATK? It's easier to use the Sacred Beasts and the Wicked Gods in the same deck, summon them, and win! Seriously, the OCG practically ruined the potential of these cards. Kizzi
Uh, how is making one "horribly overpowered" ruining the potential?Neos Wiseman - Has built-in protection. Why is that bad? Mystic Tomato.Rainbow Neos - Eh, a lack of title isn't much.Dragoon D-End - See above. Also, lol atk point.God Neos - Here is where I agree.REDMD - Lol, its powerful now. Yay. Also, lol dragon beatdown.
Phantom Roxas
If you mean REDMD, they gave it a completely different effect. It basically isn't good by itself. I think everyone would agree about how God Neos sucks, and I'm an fan of E-Heroes(At least the good ones).
uzumakinaruto93
REDMD have to remove a monster on the field not grave D-end doesn't really suffer from a non destiny hero name, make it bad is that it lost its protection from spell traps and monster effects
Umbra
OCG God Neos + Remove Dark Gaia = At least 6000 ATK, depending on the fusion material.

Dark Gaia only states that you gain the attack of the "Fusion Material used to Special Summon this card". And since you used a bunch of monsters to get God Neos out, it's attack will be quite high. And you gain the Flip-Up effect aswell.
CrabHelmet
Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon is the second-best Dragon in the game (the best is Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End). Have you seen his effect? He's awesome. The anime version required a combo of three specific unsearchable cards. There are combos of three SEARCHABLE cards that win games instantly. The most nerfed card between the anime and the OCG/TCG was Card of Sanctity. This is undeniable.

Guest Chaos Pudding
Nah, DAD is in a class of its own. And REDRUM is a truly great card. No one would have run it if it had kept its anime effect.

Phantom Roxas
Card of Sanctity sucks a lot in the TCG. I'll add it to the list!
CrabHelmet
DAD is a terrible card. It would be banned on any list worth playing in. Then again, so would CED.
Phantom Roxas
Yeah, the summoning requirements for DAD is really dumb and CED is pretty overpowered, but CTD is even more overpowered.

I was about to say that Crab!Well, I can't do else than agree. And the TCG/OCG version is really unplayable, it's only use is in Chain/Bubble Burn I think, since the cost would be almost nothing. Cyber Altair
DAD is well, 3rd. Card of Sanctity ruled in the anime, now it sucks.
Static
God neos is better now than it was in the anime, now all you need to do is toss some bad neo's and 1 bad neo spacian, and you can copy the effects of decent destiny hero cards rather than terrible neo's cards. The Dark One
OK, the reason making REDMD so good killed its chance at pwnage is that UDE is going to be stupid and will likely never release it in the TCG. Yeah, and though DAD might be in need of a ban, it's still better than REDMD.

Phantom Roxas
That's the part that I don't like. It'll be really hard to summon and no one could succesfully run a deck like that.
