I was always a fan of this card, personally. However, something about it that I'm not a fan of is the fact that it gains the ORIGINAL ATK of the FIRST monster to attack it, so your opponent can suicide ram into it with something weak, and then steamroll over it with something stronger. Is there still hope for this thing? Are there any possible decks or strategies that could use it well?

Discuss.

It's bad by its own merits. Its only real value is to bring out No.92.

The problem with No.53 is it's PASSIVE. Its effect relies on your opponent attacking it. Its stats are so weak on their own that if your opponent doesn't attack it, it just sits there doing nothing. That means needing 3 Level 5s is overinvesting when almost all the other Rank 5s are amazing in their own ways.

So it's a wall. It's not a threat. And it's not too hard to play around it, and bringing out No.92 only works when it dies by a card effect when it has no Materials. Non-destruction removal is a thing, so you're more likely to need to Trigger its effect yourself. But you have to burn through 3 of its Materials first, which goes faster when your opponent actually wants to attack it. Which they probably won't want to do.

No.92 is a major threat, just even through No.53, its effects are too restricted because you only have 1 Overlay.

>Artifacts

>Make this

>Tribute Summon an Artifact using this as Tribute

>Opponent's end phase

>Limit Reverse to Revive #53

>Your turn

>Change it to DEF

>Free Number 92

>Laugh as your opponent has no idea what the funk just happened.

I used to do this back when pure Artifacts were actually really good. Saved a few games and throws everyone off guard.
