Darj
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersIf this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: Your opponent cannot Normal or Special Summon Level 5 or higher monsters during their next turn. Just wondering if there is any undermeta or rogue deck that has access to this monster and thus could challenge or at least scare the upper tiers by stopping the Summon of Qlips, El-Shaddolls and the bigger Nekroz. But still, I guess Nekroz would be mostly unaffected by this guy since they got Valkyrus to block a Crimson's attack that would otherwise kill a monster and trigger its effect; also they still can access their Level/Rank4s anyway to make short work of Blader and/or proceed with their plays. And this arguably does nothing against BAs (prevent Virgil?) or Tellars, but you wouldn't, or shouldn't, Summon this Synchro8 when facing them in the first place. Discuss. TF2_The_Scout
I wish it could work against Qli, but I don't think it would since they then go to the extra deck instead of the graveyard.
Premier Alexander Romanov
Pretty much anything with access to Level 8 Synchros should use this, in at least their sideboard. It wasn't as great during the Xyz era, though better against high-Rank decks, but with monsters with Levels coming back in a big way, this is highly effective against a lot of decks. Darj
I wish it could work against Qli, but I don't think it would since they then go to the extra deck instead of the graveyard. Oh, you are right xD, it wouldn't even work in Qlips. Now I'm feeling a bit sad for this guy: the current top tiers outright play around him; if only its effect triggered from destroying by battle, regardless of the destination of the destroyed monster.I remember when he was cool against Dragon Rulers, Synchros and other high-Level decks. I can't tell if the new archetypes just so happened to inherently play around Crimson, or if they were actually designed with this card in mind so they wouldn't be affected by it that badly. (GigaDrillBreaker)
It is pretty good against Shaddolls.
Blake
It's pretty mediocre in general, nowadays. While it's strong in some matchups, it is just terrible in others and/or they have built in outs to it like Valk, and you'd rather devote side space to maindeck cards to more efficiently counter the opponent. Zauls
It was once the defining card in the Dragon Ruler mirror match. You couldn't leave Tidal or Tempest on board because of it. It's not the format for Blader right now, though. Good against Shaddoll but that's it. Even then you could find yourself running into a set Squamata or Dragon. Progenitor
Decent against Nekroz, but not really. They usually play off blank fields. Good against Shaddoll, Kozmo, and pretty much every synchro deck. Awful against Qli, BA, Clownstuff.dek, Majispectacles, every R4 deck in existence, Yosenju, etc. So it's an Ok side if your deck can make it, but as a whole it still isn't that great.
