Trebuchet MS
Activate this card only during your Main Phase 1. Banish 2 cards from your Graveyard, face-down; Draw 2 cards. During the turn you activate this card, you cannot activate other card effects that would either add or draw cards from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate "Memory Card" once per turn.Drawing still counts as a form of adding cards from your Deck to your hand. Hard OPT seems redundant since said downside already prevents you from activating other copies. Drawback serves as a good check that prevents RML draw loops from abusing it. Face-down banish cost keeps on-banish effects from triggering. Would gleefully use it in Chain Burn since my other draw power cards can trigger on the opponent's turn. goodfusion
An interesting idea. In essence, the card is similar to Cardcar D; shutting down what you can do for a turn in return for grabbing you a +1. The difference being that instead of stopping Special Summoning, stopping your Battle Phase as well as taking a Normal Summon, it has a small cost and stops other search/draw plays from happening. Although you are almost never going to get those banished cards back, it should be relatively easy to banish 2 un-recyclable Spells/Traps or maybe an unneeded monster, although it may make it a dead-draw turn 1. The real 'cost' is preventing you searching/drawing any other cards that turn. This stops its abusability massively, as search/draw power is necessary in so many decks, and would make it unusable in those that completely relied on it, such as Exodia. Overall, I like this card. It seems very useful in slower/weaker decks that lack good searchers, yet less useful in faster decks that have a lot of searching power already. (I can't imagine Qli or Nekroz using this, although my Cloudians probably would).
