mshends
Level 1 DARK Spellcaster-Type Tuner Effect MonsterATK 0DEF 0You can only use the (1) effect of “Tuning Magician” once per turn.(1) If this card is in your hand or Graveyard while there is a “Magician” card in your Pendulum Zone: You can Special Summon this card, but banish it if it leaves the field.(2) If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: Your opponent gains 400 LP, and if they do, you take 400 damage. Atypical-Abbie
I guess it's meant to be more for a Level 8 Synchro instead of a Level 7, since they already have a Tuner already. Not sure why it has that Summon effect, I guess it has to do with the anime in some way.
Maeriberii Haan
Dammit sam why do you ditch this amazing card.Let's go ahead and talk about how great this card is. -It's the best discard fodder for Pendulum Call.-It gives access to....(taken from Pojo)Tuning + Xianke/Dragonpit = PaladinTuning + Xianke/Dragonpit/Odd-Eyes = Ignister/OmegaTuning + Peasant = Arcanite/MeteorblastTuning + 2x Insight/Joker/etc. = Trishulaat the very least-it makes you be able to make further plays with PS'd peasant-it can be recycled infinitely with Omega and is downright ridiculous with IIW-it's almost virtually never dead-it's literally a non once per duel Glow up Bulb in the deck that doesn't give you access to Nat Beast sadly but yeah. The cons is pretty much only-it's not a pendulum so you can't search it with Call or Insight-the burn adds up but not as fast as Clown. All in all, this felt like a deceptively strong card. Like holy ra the amount of options it opens up.
~British Soul~
Well... I can see why this card inspired Jack in Arc-V, it certainly is an amazing card for Magicians. The burn/opp gain eff is certainly weird, but it can add up. I wouldn't be surprised if it got a rarity bump in TCG tbph.

Maeriberii Haan
Magician clownblade can utilize this nicely, and in OCG you can make Beatrice using Inferiors and Unicorn so more profit. I mean it's pretty much a potential for a totally free trish drop. Like hey, that sounds like pure profit.

Azuh
I'm sure it has to be common just because its a common "crappy" card in the anime. Inb4gagagagirl
Atypical-Abbie
Lavalval chain's actually really good even in pure magician snce it dumps Noble.Wouldn't it be much easier to just serach it instead of making Rank 4? You are also putting Pendulums in the Graveyard this way, which can be useful at times for them, but I would personally not make a Lavalval Chain just so I can make a Synchro, which I also don't find as good as making Rank 7s instead. Could be my playstyle with them, could be that my Deck isn't OCG, and since we are talking about Lavalval Chain here, it's clearly OCG talk. Granted you can put juggler and then send clown from Pendulum call, but the grave is very important

evilfusion
For the record, I expect the anime version of this card doesn't have the "SS if you have Magician Pendulum" effect because it's from the Synchro Dimension, so...no Pendulums. So in that context, it is a pathetic card. It's a low-level 0/0 Tuner that burns you and heals your opponent for Summoning it. But it still has potential by virtue of being a Tuner, which is why it's symbolic.

I believe he'll have some sort of revelation that allows Tuning Magician's full potential to be unlocked.
