Schizophrenic Warrior

This card can attack empty monster slots in any side of the field, but will not have damage step. Each time this card attacks an empty monster slot, inflict 1500 damage to both players. You can only control 1 "Schizophrenic Warrior".

Under normal circumstances, you cannot attack empty card zones (although there are cases where you could direct attack if another card didn't exist in the same column).

Although, that was back in Cyberdark Impact, and a lot of stuff was awkward.

 

In any case though, not fond of this card dealing massive burn damage every time it attacks an open zone.

You won't have a damage step, but the burn might as well constitute one.

 

You could combo this with cards that either negate any damage to you, or increase it, but either those cards are hard to get out, or have bad synergy with this (Deck-wise).

For the most part, it's essentially a direct attack effect that hits both players, but one that doesn't apply a normal damage calculation thing.

This card can cause many draw results in a duel, that can force tied game. I prefer this card has some effs like "When this card is Summoned: Special Summon "Hallucinations Token" to your opponent side of the field. If "Hallucinations Token" is destroyed, inflict xxxx damage . . ." (Is this Joke sections? Yea . . . but still the damage is too strong imo)

 

Good job on making this card. Srry can't stop laughing . . . (just look at that face!)

I'm pretty sure it attacks only one slot, not all of them at once.

As for ruling stuff, it should only attack one slot at a time, much like you would in normal monster battles.

How does the card interact with sealed monster zones.

? If you can attack them, then I might see some use for it in my Nimble Socuteboss deck, as a reliable way to inflict damage without disrupting my own strategy. Best part is that its def is just about enough to not die to Musasabis. The self damage part is troubling, though.

As in zones that are sealed off from usage (i.e. Ground Collapse, Ojama King/Knight, etc.)?

 

Hmm, that's an interesting question.

Given the wording, you'd probably be able to attack locked off zones with this card, since zone is technically empty and qualifies for this card.

 

However, take it with a grain of salt, because you might not be able to attack zones that are sealed off due to this.

 

(Reason why it's in Experimental is because it attacks empty monster card zones, and pretty much this.)

It's a neat idea, and can be good in a lock down deck. I mean, you've got gravity bind going on, but you're opponent still has his Trishula, or whatever high attack monster he's got on the field, then this can be a way to avoid that. That, said, there are less painful ways to deal damage. This makes me wonder though- does this count as effect damage? Because if it does, then Dark Room of Nightmare might be nice to play with the card.

Yes, the 1500 damage it inflicts to both players with that effect is classified as effect damage.
