The Warden
If your opponent controls 2 or more monsters and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 Level 4 or lower "Superheavy Samurai" monster in your Graveyard, except "Superheavy Samurai Scales"; Special Summon it in Defense Position. You can only use this effect of "Superheavy Samurai Scales" once per turn. I just want to say that I god damn love this card, I really do. He is the epitome of borked Wolfbark-like design, and the only thing stopping him from being nuts is the archetype he's tied to. This guy is god damn king in Superheavy Rank 4, and for good reason... he's nuts. Activating off being SSed is just fabulous, and allows so many insane plays. Summoner Monk, Tin Goldfish, or Call of the Haunted during your opponent's End Phase. And he can be grabbed ad nauseum by Gear Gigant X, who Scales helps to make. His synergy with Soulpiercer is top notch, as piercer grabs him, and then he grabs piercer right back. He's also an instant Barkion with Trumpeter. Plus his SS effect lets you so easily make a comeback from a clear field. This guy helped me make a 5 mat Ptolemaeus after a field wipe. I also want to say that Superheavy Rank 4 is an amazing deck. If they had another Level 4 with 500 or less ATK, the deck would be perfect. As then you'd have both Blue Brawler and the other as Machine Dupable targets, and it would be awesome. So discuss Scales, and how amazing he is.
Lizardonx
I'd call Altair the epitome of borked wolfbark design simply because of the archetype he's tied to. Easily the best superheavy, not that it matters to true steadfast duelists but it doesn't have the steadfast clause on it. But why would you betray the MAN Gon Chan? The Warden
Because Superheavy Rank 4 existed before Steadfast Style could even be made into a deck.
Tinkerer
I mean, I only play this deck steadfast style, but I don't think anyone can deny that this and soulpiercer are definitely the two best (main deck) cards. What can I say? The duo really are basically the poor man's Deneb and Altair though. However, since we're on the topic of SHS, does anyone think that they'll get a level 7 Synchro? I mean, they have 2 level 5s (that can SS themselves, no less) as well as Soulfire Suit's equip effect... And yet 5 is such an awkward level for them (and also thanks to the Special Summon conditions on the 5s, you can't XYZ with 'em either)...

Turn the turner to 5, boom. Susanowo. I find level 8 the most awkward to make in this deck, funnily enough. Anyways, Scales is one of the best main deck cards the archetype has. I'm snatched victory away from the jaws of defeat more times then I could count using this card, steadfast style or overlaying. This pretty much guarantees an Orge, can make Susanowo, or a Rank 4. It also doesn't have to be a SHS card, and doesn't have a spell/trap restriction, so it's nice.
