November Format List Theory

Recommended Posts

My reason for saying "Books are still bad" is because...Books are still bad. Unlimiting Spellbook of Fate does literally nothing for the deck because it wasn't the reason they became bad in the first place,

It was the kick in the teeth that kept them down. Fate is amazing in this format.

When you're having to tech the mediocrity that is speedroids to make a deck semi-viable i think the deck got hit by a sledgehammer.

Ok one that's just ignorant af, I expected better from you Spindy

1) Terror Tops is a photon thrasher that searches out the other lv 3 piece needed for the XYZ (no normal investment)

2) You can now search out Borg which will complete the r3nk or you can search out three eye'd die

3) Three Eye'd die is a Necro garna, guess what, that one attack you stop might be what stops a kozmo otk, you mill it? No funking worries

Trishula is piss easy to make in the deck now, and BA will be cheap, so don't sell/ buy your dante now

Oh wait I just realized Spellbook of Fate doesn't target. Makes it a little better. Still don't see how a single card moving to 3 would suddenly make the deck top tier worthy. It's not like Spellbook of Fate being limited had that many issues, since you could find/recur it easily.

You really couldnt recur it that easily. It wasnt as easy as use 2nd fate to banish 1st and and then use eternity to get it back again.

You're the ignorant one, You already see i put BA in the place it should be but you insist that crappier combos and rubbish are gonna boost it. However, i am really tired right now so take everything i say with a pinch of salt.

Define amazing. Banishing cards was always a great effect, other effects are just cute. Kozmos don't care, Infernoids care little, Majespecters don't care either. I don't see how it's "amazing in this format".

Kozmo really care about having their farmgirl put face-down before they can do much, Majespecters care since it's the only removal that hits them and Infernoids care because they have another fodder they just paid for sent to the grave or banished.

Honestly though, I think BA even with the nerfs will just get knocked down a tier by 0.5-1. It is still very competitive and the gaps can be filled for more tech options, including Painful Escape. I found it interesting how Konami revealed this final TCG exclusive, while a few days later, they revealed the banlist and nerfed BA. A playset would be pretty good returning Graffs and Cirs for sure, and I can tell they made this exclusive for a good reason here, not just to make more cash.

I also don't give af if I can or cannot do Trishula in BA. It's only a luxury to summon. There might be more better outs and I have yet to make proper judgment on how it will affect the format.

Speedroids brother, it's not a luxury, it's having 1 of six cards in your hand

Ritual Beasts are, unfortunately, really casual decks now. Which is not bad, since my playgroup is casual af, so I can still use them. If you still want to include them, they are Tier 3 decks now (Tellarknight level, or maybe even lower than that), or solid "Rogue"/"Budget" options, but not a deck that we will see a lot anymore in competitive levels.

However, Noble Knight is still a really weak deck. I'd suggest to remove it from the list. My Ritual Beasts could defeat a fully equipped deck with 3 Merlin and 3 Rotas while I only had 3 ulti-pettlephin left in my Extra Deck (3 ulti-apelios had been destroyed & my only Cannahawk has been solemn'd (I decided to only use 1 to test the new format) AND I could still win each of my duels against the deck easily.

On the other hand, Psy-Frame is an honorable mention that is Tier 2 for sure. Also, while Yang Zing is not as strong as Tier 1 decks, it IS definitely the worst match-up for Kozmo. If lots of people are starting to use Kozmo, we can see Yang Zing rising, thus making it popular and having its place on a high rank on the tier list.

As others said, Masked Hero is actually another decent Tier 2 (?) deck of the format.

For Tier 3, I'd actually mention Melodious. They suck (unfortunately), but Aria is still a thing that some decks can't react anyhow.

Thanks. I said Melodious for the reason that Aria is something that you should be aware if you're meeting with her in a "Rogue Match". Also personal bias. But yeah, I agree that it shouldn't be included on the list at all.

Just as cancerous as their OCG cousin

Kozmo ain't got sheet against M&m's. Monster can easily go over 3k atk. Make Dweller and swing

Pepe tier 0

Some sort of weird version i found, but as i say, I dont really know the best builds and stuff.

Amaterasu isn't even that widespread. Performage Pendulum and its variants are popular right now behind Kozmo but most of the deck's plays are still pretty fair outside of Masked Chamaelon or Dracoslayer + Plushfire

Here are the variants:

-Majespecter Performage

-Performage + generic Pendulums

-Brilliant Fusion Performage

Just as cancerous as their OCG cousin

Kozmo ain't got s*** against M&m's. Monster can easily go over 3k atk. Make Dweller and swing

Pepe tier 0

I mean Kozmo matchup actually comes down to F0 or Dweller + Reptier as far as outting ships
