Continuous Trap Card

Neither player can Special Summon monsters with the same Level as those they control. Neither player can Special Summon monsters with the same Rank as those they control.

So, what are your thoughts on this card?

I have seen this tech card cause rage quits in some decks but it affects both players so i do not really know.

So, what are your thoughts on this semi-floodgate ?

Well, I mean, it is a floodgate. You wouldn't likely be running it if it hurts you that badly.

In any case, this is one of my favorite floodgates and one of the very few naturally resistant to Castel. Of course, pendulum decks can summon same level monsters simultaneously, so it doesn't stop that, but itdoes stop their r4nk plays. Unfortunately, it doesn't look particularly helpful for this format, but it'll definitely be something to look out for.

I like this card quite a bit, just trying to think what deck could use it without being hurt itself.

Just about anything Xyz is out, obviously (excep Super Quantum?). Fusion decks: Shadolls prolly could, I'm pretty sure their Fusions are dif levels, and thi won't count their set monsters.

Frightfurs might, though you can't go Tiger + Frightfur Fusion into Wolf with this out as both are level 6, and that's their most devastating play.

Nekroz, perhaps? None of their guys are the same level except Unicore with Shurit and Manju (and Shurit got banned anyway, didn't he?)

Could actually clash with Synchro decks, as a lot of them (like Synchrons) use monsters with low levels, so you couldn't play Formula Synchron at all, unless you normal summoned your second material, or you can't play Doppelwarrior off of Junk Synchron resing a Level 2 or a Quillbolt effect.

Symphonics, obviously.

I dunno. Bit of a weird card, tbh.
