Rank-Up-Magic Conversion Force

I saw those new Super Quantum Xyzs and that they had the same Type, but a different Attribute and are all 1 Rank apart, so I designed a card that works well with them. I'm sure it has other uses as well.

Target 1 Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 Xyz Monster that is 1 Rank higher than that target with the same Type, but a different Attribute by using it as the Xyz Material, but your opponent takes no damage for the rest of the turn. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to that target also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned monster.) You can only activate 1 “Rank-Up-Magic Conversion Force” per turn.

You know that you have to give some degree of stuff on the effect design, right?

(Advanced Clause)

Regarding the card itself, suppose it would make it a little easier to go into the Rank 5 or something, if you cannot get Red Layer out quickly and have to resort to using Aeroboros or whatever generic R4 in there. Saying this a bit from testing the Deck, and that usually ends up as an issue. (3 and 4 aren't problematic)

At present, I think this card is only really useful in SQs (but it'll help them a bit with going into their Xyz), but yeah some other Decks might find a use for it.

Had to re-read the card to make sure that it did specify the same Type is needed; it does.

Not really sure how well this card would do, but I guess it would help them in certain cases.

(I'd probably use it for the 5 though, like I mentioned earlier; though we can only see if they get added support, which might not be likely at this time)

After some feedback from the DNF version of this thread, I have decided to changed it a bit.

I assume the change was the no-damage clause, so as to prevent Atum->OERD otks?

It really has a lot in common with Astral Force, in that its power is based on all the different combinations it can make, but the no-damage clause eliminates what would probably be the most powerful.

That, and hard OPT on its usage.

Version I graded didn't have those two restrictions on it, but I forgot that combo existed (likely due to assuming Hieratics aren't viable at present or whatever R6 Dragon decks exist at this time).

But yeah, the no damage effect is needed to prevent the OTK from Rebellion, especially because it will have a Dragon monster as a mat and can trigger as such.

Nobody said anything about that, it was mostly Infinity they had issues with, and that it is somewhat generic, so you could make a lot of things. My first thought was to prevent other monsters from being Summoned, though that only really fixes Infinity, other monsters will still be able to do whatever they want, so I decided on damage instead. Though that is a quite powerful thing too which I hadn't thought about, so hey, one fix leads to another.
