[Aix Makes Pretty Cards] Quiet Melancholy

So... you can (ab)use this in a similar way to Skill Drain, or at the very least force the opponent to spend a -1 to get rid of it after safely attacking, or skip your Battle Phases to prevent the card from being destroyed until you make sure you have the advantage.

Either way, more often than not you should end up winning if your deck is designed to play along this card (e.g Qliphorts, Barbaros) and of course since it's you who decides when to play it.

This is not a card I would like to have around.

Effect aside, the orica looks good and the artwork is lovely.

Neph please don't spam.

Aix, that card is ridiculous. Really damn hard to remove, turns the entire game into vanilla beat since realistically no one would want to remove it due to how expensive it is to remove, and in decks like infernoids you can spam with reasoning first then use the noids' summon effects after you go for this since noids aren't effect.

Or just plop this after spamming the field with big beaters. It's nuts.

Nice orica tho.

Ultimately, it's a -1 for your opponent, is that really that expensive? I did consider it was a bit hefty, but 1 card was a little light, so maybe 1 card and 1000 LP cost?

Aix, that's not really how to see the advantage at work here.

So, let's take a scenario of your opp removing it as fast as they could.

They can't do anything meaningful in MP1 due to this, and thus must move to BP - you effectively skipping their MP1 which is the most important phase in the game. They don't attack and discards 2 cards to destroy this. You remove 2 cards in their hand, eliminating their resources, just by playing 1 card. They can make plays in MP2 but at that point they'd be set back so far behind you can wreck them easily on your turn.

And not removing it is not an option because this makes any big beaters effectively invincible.

Except -1 barely matters when you can /probably/ just kill them that turn with any sort of generic beater Pendulum Swarm?

And yes it's expensive.

Right, I didn't consider those cheap 0 cost non-effect Special Summons.

Hmmm, there's no point to this card since I forgot to consider Decks being built around it.
