Black Friday

I usually shop Black Friday every year, mainly because I clothing shop once per season, and said day is strategically placed right before the winter-Christmas season for maximum money grubbing. But like I said, even without Black Friday I'd be shopping, it just so happens to save me a funk ton of money.

Didn't go to stores this year because all of the stores I'd normally shop at had the same deal both on an off site (Express/Gap 50% everything, and Zara/ASOS 30% off everything). Ended up spending like 900 bucks but I saved like 600 so worth. Most of it's just buying more sweaters and button downs that I don't funking need but I have a problem.

Notable mentions though:

I usually stay home on Black Fridays (or Thursdays), pretty much because people can get very crazy and stores are crowded as hell.

Last time I went (a couple years ago at Walmart), some guys kept throwing stuff across the place and ripping open boxes like a bunch of madmen.

Mind you, there were a few small kids around and yeah, the store employee told them off for acting like savages.

This year, I went, though didn't buy much.

Best Buy was crowded as hell though (especially with a lot of guys buying 5 or so 50-something televisions at a time).

I wanted to buy Naruto: The Last on DVD, but it appeared that I was too late for it.

Wal-Mart had nothing I wanted, but at least it wasn't as bad (probably helped that I went around 7-8 pm, as opposed to midnight).

That, and since the last time, new Walmarts opened.

-----

Then again, a little bit of online shopping but not too much.

There was a sale at Office Depot when I went (16GB flash drives for $5, as opposed to around 15 or something); should've got one while I had a chance.

As for Cyber Monday, don't think I'll buy anything.

(I doubt that plush I want on Amazon will be discounted)

The Black Friday videos of shoppers fighting each other are always nuts. I saw some woman rip something out of a child's hands this year (what's his mom doing bringing him into that frenzy anyways).

I was in NY this past Friday, but ironically spent nothing. But I went two weeks before and bought a bunch of things.

Timing's everything  :526099_key:

I was in Best Buy Thanksgiving night and it was packed. I didn't buy anything (I was dragged along with people) but there were carts everywhere, blocking the way, and it was annoying.

None of that tearing and stampeding though. Just a lot of people talking at once and stuff.
