Emperor Klondike
Continuous Spell CardWhile this card is face up on the field; magic cards are treated as trap cards (cannot be activated immediately); trap cards are treated as magic cards (can be activated from the hand). Kanashimi
This is problematic, like do you know why Makyura the Destructor and Temple of the Kings (now Temple of the Kings being errata'd) banned right? As for Spell becomes Trap is fine (or not if you're talking about Raigeki during opponent's turn), but but Trap becomes Spell . . . troublesome. (ExodiaFTK.dek) Now you can activate Jar of Greed, Reckless Greed, Legacy of Yata Garasu and friends immediately without waiting 1 turn, keep digging until get anything you want (probably Exodia), better yet, because this card is Continuous Spell, it's searchable via Watchdog. So yes, either remove the Trap becomes Spell, or just put hard OPT (like Temple of the Kings). Also issue rises like what Spell Quick-Play becomes when it it's Trap? or Trap Counter when it's Spell? ♪ ♪Aria ♪ ♪
This screws many trap cards which can only resolve when a condition is met, like "Mirror Force" and "Magic Cylinder", plus activating trap cards from the hand instantly is unfair, without any limitation..... Emperor Klondike
The concept is reversing the cards in order to pursue various strategies, like you said, quick-play magic cards are treated as counter traps, counter traps are treated vice versa..... goodfusion
So, I guess if this turns Quick-Play Spells into Counter Traps, MST actually negates? I think you should clarify what the card actually does in its effect. For example, what happens to Field Spells? What happens to Pendulum Monsters in the Pendulum Zones? When making cards that flip Yugioh upside down it is a good idea to make the card understandable.
Sander
So, I guess if this turns Quick-Play Spells into Counter Traps, MST actually negates? MST being treated a counter trap doesn't mean sheet when it still will not negate, it just means that the opponent cannot respond with anything else than SP3 in that chain.
