Tribute Summoning is too slow in most decks, and gaining 500 DEF means nothing since you can't immediately put in DEF after attacking, and it only has 500 to start with. I tried to make it not to overpowered but it appears I went a little overboard trying not to do so.I'lol go back to the drawing board and try to make a slightly improved version of this card. It requires 2 Insect tributes, and only gains DEF if you attack a non-Insect. Couple that with a 20/5 body, and well, it's just not very useful. To be fair, even some random 2-Tribute vanilla has more utility than this. ---------Yeah, you should completely revamp this card. Things you can do.Boost its stats to Level 7 monster level. (That's around 2400-2600 ATK & DEF on average; you decide what values work). Or lower it to Level 5.Change the effect to be more universal.Get rid of the Insect tribute. A little stat boost means next to nothing if the S/T that's being activated will potentially get rid of the card anyways if not negated. We're past the age where stat boosts are significant since many card effects ignore the numbers on the monsters and simply try to destroy/bounce/banish it. Manpole Posted December 6, 2015 Report Share Posted December 6, 2015 If you're making a deck out of it, dont aim for 40 different cards. More work, and wont be as useful. Look at real decks, 3x of most cards. 15 dif cards per deck is a good amount to aim for. Anyways.. onto the card As has been pointed out, the first version was much to up, the newer one is a bit better, but can be slow (as there is not really any current support for it), has little protection and gains stats a little slow. Try making it easier to summon, give it a protection eff or buff its stats up a little... I like messing with stuff like that so heres my suggestion:"After a Chain with 3 or more Links resolves you can Special Summon this card from your hand, if Summoned successfully this card gains 1 Dark counter for each Link in the Chain. Each time a Spell or Trap card resolves, this card gets 1 Dark counter; This card gains 100 ATK and 400 DEF for each Dark counter on this card." (I decreased the Def bonus only because if you SS with my version of the effect, he starts with high Def already) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I mean it's so underwhelming that I don't even see weaville from the anime wanting it in his deck, I mean it gains 500 def while attacking? Why? how is that useful? But i would try making it a special summoned monster, by like discarding an insect from your hand, and give it an effect like, if this card destroys an opponents monster by battle, you can imediatley destroy one other face up card they control.
