How should have been Pantheism of the Monarchs

Send 1 "Monarch" Spell/Trap Card from your hand to the Graveyard; draw 2 cards. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; reveal 3 "Monarch" Spell/Trap Cards with different names from your Deck, your opponent chooses 1 for you to add to your hand, and you shuffle the rest back into your Deck. You can only use 1 "Pantheism of the Monarchs" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

 

Changes: 

  • Both effects cannot be used anymore on the same turn (that was one of the dumbest things konami have ever made), other grave effects at least cannot be used on the turn they go there, on top of that you were able to activate this monstruosity as many times you can.
  • It searches 3 different cards, so no "I choose these 3 of the same name, pick one" anymore

I have to agree with Gadjiltron on this; the changes you made are good (and what Konami should've done in the first place instead of whatever it does at present).

 

Cut off multiple activations (which I've seen pretty much all of the times I've had to deal with Monarchs, especially when they mill multiple support S/Ts) and yes, the subsequent banish and "choose the 3x Dominion so you're forced to give me one (or whatever else)" play afterwards.

 

They should still be able to function properly, but should be less of a pain to deal with them (at least the opponent actually has to give you a choice of what you add to their hand).

A lot of us would probably be fine dealing with Pantheism like this, as opposed to whatever it does now; I'd be okay with this version.

 

One of my pet peeves about this card [and Monarchs to an extent] is pretty much the multiple activations and subsequent capacity to banish/search whatever.
