Arctic55
Lore: When a monster with 2000 or more ATK attacks you directly: Send 1 Normal Trap Card that meets its activation conditions from your Deck to the Graveyard; this card's effect becomes that Trap Card's effect. You can only activate 1 "Rescue from the Future" per turn.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Considering the amount of OTK-heavy Decks that exist nowadays (and they usually hit 2K+ on average anyway for direct attack purposes), getting a free Mirror Force or something would be nice. to try and stop them. Though, the problem being is that some of those Decks float when they die (see Kozmos and Pendulums/other things), so doesn't stop them from just hitting you further with said monsters. I would suggest putting a hard OPT on this card so you can't chain multiple copies of this per turn (well, for the purpose of dealing with floaters and all). Overall, it has its uses but might not be as useful, depending on how much the opponent's managed to chip at you by the time this gets activated. Trebuchet MS
Here, this is what it should look like: Once per turn, When a monster with 2000 or more ATK attacks you directly: you can activate this card. When this card is activated, you can Activate 1 Trap Card from your Deck. You can only activate 1 "Rescue from the Future" per turn. Looks okay on paper in fetching Mirror Force until you realize that you can also fetch various other tools - Rippling Mirror Force first comes to mind. You can also slap Continuous Traps on the field like Call of the Haunted for emergency revival, or Gravity Bind to block out most non-Xyz big beaters. Activating cards as part of an effect has strange consequences regarding choosing targets (think Dimensional Prison), so I'm not entirely sure on how this card would resolve mid-Chain. I suppose the new Trap forms a new Chain?
mitchermitcher
How about something along the lines of 'Send 1 Trap card from your deck to the graveyard: This card's effect is the sent trap card's effect.'(excuse my lack of proper ygo grammar)? That way it's technically only a single card that's being activated so there's no weird chaining shenanigans going on.

"Send to Grave" added and Grammar fixed?.

Trebuchet MS
No, it's not done like that. More like: When a monster with 2000 or more ATK attacks you directly: Activate Send 1 Normal Trap Card that meets its activation conditions from your Deck and send it to the Graveyard; this card's effect becomes that Trap Card's effect. You can only activate 1 "Rescue from the Future" per turn.Note that I've now specified "Normal Trap" because it will create bizarre interactions if it worked on a Continuous Trap.
