vla1ne Posted March 15, 2016 Report Share Posted March 15, 2016 If Reasoning and Monster Gate are limited, the deck is pretty dead either way, isn't it?no, not really, it's crippled as hell in comparison, but it's not quite dead yet. there's still other ways to mill and draw in the deck, for example, void dream can thin by up to 6 monsters per use, and while it'll be weak to monarchs and (TCG)kozmo, It'll still be good against pendulum decks (not saying they'll be as strong as the reasoning/gate build, but it's not a deck killing ban just yet.). Infernoids are kind of a weird deck though (their odd playstyle is why i love them so much), either way, red mirror will also allow you to get back your lower level infernoids who can't bring themselves out from the grave, so it grants a bit of re-usability to monsters that used to be (for the most part) one-shot players. the reasoning hit may have killed the current engine, but it's also somewhat opened up room for a more controlled mill variety, red mirror might see it's place there as a tech for some time, and that one level 3 red monster might even see some space open up now that the deck isn't able to go full lightsworn... in fact, lightsworn infernoid might even become a thing, the dumbest thought I've had in awhile, but i just know somebody's gonna try it.
