Idk why people think you're using this for the fusion effect.

It seems fine as a "double summon" with the ability to be a Fusion Spell. Yes, it's hefty, but it makes you combo off harder by letting you devote more.

That's true, but idk how much the effect negate hurts them.

Can you explain what scenario/monsters you'd summon with this?

orthros

Lamia

Whatever you want to pair with a grave'd lamia

Night Howling (better to cheat onto the board than normal summon outside of Kali Yuga plays)

It also sets off Rag/Temujin/Alexander/etc. earlier/pretty much whenever you want.

Funny, because flavor completely killed this card.

not really?

the 2K burn isn't the issue

the issues are:

D/D/D

Defense Position

Effects negated

No extra means of Fusion Materials akin to swamp king.

All of these in the same spot is the issue. Remove Defense Position and it still sucks, but less so. Remove just effect negation, and this card is pretty funking good. Allow any D/D and this card is pretty funking good.

It just suffers from overly safe design.

I mean, my main point was that since this is an evolved version of the original, it's obvious that it would use D/D/D monsters, rather than just D/D, which makes it have less flexibility. Konami did go too far on the restrictions, I will agree on that.

Wouldn't this be a downgraded version? First one can use D/D (and subsequently D/D/D since they are also D/D), and this one can only use D/D/D

Flavor-wise, it's supposed to be an upgraded version, but in practice, it's worse because it has too little flexibility.

Which is why I found it funny.
