The Nyx Avatar
LORE:Once per turn, you can target 1 DARK monster your opponent controls; take control of it. When this card is destroyed by battle, you can banish 1 Psychic-Type monster from your Graveyard. When this card is destroyed by a card effect, you can Special Summon 1 of your banished Psychic-Type monsters.

Brimtosis
I do like this card, and the idea it brings with it. However, there are a few issues. First and foremost, it is quite strong for a Lv5, ATK and DEF wise. Probably the first change you'd need to make is to drop one or both. As I never look at cards based on any meta-game, I'm not sure which would be best for a Psychic-Type in general, but definitely would probably go with a weaker stat-line on that respect. That or up the level by 1 or 2. Secondly, and more importantly, the first effect."Once per turn, you can target 1 DARK monster your opponent controls; take control of it. "This is broken for a couple of reasons, namely the fact that you have control over this monster... ad-infinitum. If it was until the end of your turn, and had a fail-safe of being once per turn DESPITE how many "Umbrakinetic Lich"s you controlled, that would fix it quite well. The other reason is because it makes this guy quite the swiss army knife. Whilst, yes, this is only limited to DARK attribute monsters, again, you'd probably still need to gain a couple of levels. The death effects are cool, love 'em. Makes having multiple of him awesome, as there is a potential for looping here. I'd say that, stylistically, this card is cool, but does need some work. Hope this has helped!

Guest BGMCANN0N
It seems like an indirect Side support for Kozmo's against some decks that are predominantly DARK considering the lower levels are Psychic. You could run Transmodify that Kozmoll Wicked Witch to get this guy out, and on top of that his effect coincides with how those Kozmo's banish themselves. It seems it could also be fun with DNA Transplant shenanigans as well. Also, on a semi-related, yet unrelated note~ Umbralkinesis (forgive me for this Static Shock reference): http://dcau.wikia.com/wiki/Ebon The idea brings me nostalgia <
Sleepy
Looking at this thread made me realize I don't have a way to fix this card giving support to the old banish psychics (Esper Girl and Overdrive Teleporter) without it giving better support to Kozmo. The former would need this card to be destroyed both ways over the course of the game to achieve a single combo for that deck. The latter will immediately recycle the monster with the Field Spell and/or setup Summoning one directly, it just works many ways. That said, I think Kozmos are a tight build, and as long as this card's name isn't Kozmo, it will be outclassed by any high Level monster that is for most intents and purposes. Meanwhile, the banish psychics don't really like Tribute Summoning unless they can further their swarm for Synchro through it. That's 2 ruled out. I've never put close attention to how Psy-Frames or Quantums work, and I'll just rule out the oldest Psychics from The Duelist Genesis. I come to the conclusion that this card's main effect is the control effect, while the Psychic-related effect is just to ensure some floating. Not for a dedicated build but for a deck that can easily see itself with a Psychic in the Grave at some point in a duel. I know some decks like Shiranui/Zombies use Omega. The DARK control is pretty powerful, but depends on the opponent and these days it can be a bit slow when it doesn't belong to an archetype. The first thing that came to mind is Metaphys Horus. The usual norm these days is that either the controller or the controlled cannot attack the turn it does that, buuuuuut your card doesn't come from the Extra Deck and doesn't even keep permanent control of it, so I'll think its fine without that restriction. Regarding a comment above: The highest 1 Tribute monster in the game is 2800 original ATK, the highest Level 5 has 2500 (which is the same as the highest Level 1 and Level 4). So yeah, the ATK is not too high for its Level. If anything, I'd even boost it a little by making it float more easily by not caring how it is destroyed, and giving you the choice of doing either one or both of those effects.
