Ryusei the Morning Star
You can send 1 other LIGHT monster from your hand to the Graveyard; Special Summon this card from your hand in Defense Position. When this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Galaxy" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Galaxy Soldier" once per turn. Basic idea is to use Transmodify on a A/B (as in ABC-XYZ Kaiba unions) , summon this. This guy will search another galaxy soldier, the A/B (you should have one monster and one equiped union) will search out 1 more and tool one monster. Summon the second Gala Sol, summon Infinity. You should have A/B/C on the field or grave, now make ABC Overall, this should give a pretty good set up Just a thought :)
Thomas★Zero
The only thing I dislike about this card is how it makes it easy to into Cydra Infinty on its own since it allows you to search a second Solider with its second effect where if it prevented you from searching an additional Galaxy Solider this card would be fine. IQuitDolphin
while true, a semi-auto infinity is always a great value. Not really, taking into account a 5-card hand, you would discard a LIGHT to add Galaxy Soldier, then add another Soldier (-1 hand, +1 board), then you would discard another LIGHT to summon the Soldier you added (-3 hand, +2 board), then overlay into Nova and Infinity (-3 hand, +1 board). So you are investing 3 cards from your hand to make a mediocre single-negation monster (that is easily baited) that would at best do a -2 on your opponent, which won't even break even on your card economy (you still go -1 in hand advantage), and that doesn't include if they successfuly bait CDI and then out it. It's not a great value by itself.

Med W Rage
you can - less by searching galaxy wizard, summoning that and tributing for galaxy expedition. you save a card in the process, and presumably you would be playing this in a deck that would like to dump lights. There's a decent cyber dragon deck that runs this and wizard, since its searchable off cyber repair as well as making nova. You would also run the kaiju cards including the field spell, since you can contact fuse with the machine kaiju you give them, as well as giving fodder for soldier's summoning condition. I remember seeing boards with a 5 counter gamaciel and infinity, thats really strong.
IQuitDolphin
Of course a Galaxy-esque archetype with Galaxy Wizard and Expedition would be able to summon CDI more effectively, but at that point you are running a lot of engine cards devoted to summoning R5s / Infinity, and finding the space for something like that is difficult. ....Unless of course you're actually playing a Galaxy deck at which point, well, Galaxy don't exactly have the best consistency last I remember. Med W Rage
3 soldier 3 wizard 1 expedition 1 zero, that's 8 cards. Space depends on what deck you're looking at. Aside from the cyber dragon deck i mentioned which utilizes this very well, there is also a TCG blue-eyes deck that uses soldier wizard and expedition along with brilliant fusion that works very nicely.
