Tuner Synchro Monster + 2 or more non-Tuner Synchro Monsters
Must be Synchro Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card's maximum number of attacks per Battle Phase equals the number of non-Tuner monsters used as its Synchro Material. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated: You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. When this card leaves the field: You can Special Summon 1 "Shooting Star Dragon" from your Extra Deck.

So I've been using Quasar deck for a while now and I have come to greatly love this card because it's just beautiful. The fact that it's relatively easy to summon while going plus is fantastic. I had been using the Junk>>>Level 1 Tuner>>>Doppel play as my most common means of doing it (Quickdraw Explorer Level Eater 2reliable4me, but this gives you more options with the downside that it can completely fail if you don't draw Quickdraw or whatever) but then I stopped being a 2011 scrub and realised Brilliant Fusion + Level Eater + Jet makes it way better and I'm now going to type it out here in case I abandon the deck and forget the simple combo because I am bad.

What you need is BriFu, Level Eater (or any way to get it in the grave), Jet Synchron, and another level 1 tuner (this is going to be pretty much half your deck after drawing 5/6 to start the game and then 4 off the start of the combo so you don't need to open it really). Also not to draw Tricklown but even if you do there are other ways to do it, this is just the easiest.

  • Start the duel (HILARIOUS AND ORIGINAL)
  • BriFu Seraphinite using Garnet/Lazuli + Tricklown.
  • Revive Tricklown.
  • Use the additional NS for Jet, make Librarian.
  • Discard Level Eater revive Jet, Coral Dragon with the Serpahinite, draw off Librarian.
  • Level Eater Coral, then use it to make Stardust Charge, drawing off Librarian Charge and Coral.
  • You have now drawn 4 cards, if you don't have access to a level 1 tuner you may as well give up.
  • NS/141 whatever level 1 tuner.
  • Level Eater on Charge.
  • Make Formula, draw off it and Librarian.
  • If you've managed to get this far without finding a 6-of Quickdraw, make Quasar, otherwise you can potentially continue into Quasar + Sifr + whatever. Making Quasar without having to use Librarian as a material is basically a win condition.

Can also pop things with Coral, if you draw Quickdraw you can bounce a thing with Jet Warrior, draw Instant Fusion you've got another 5, if you used GUB or drew Foolish at any point you can make another Formula. Basically if you open those 3 cards you're winning unless Librarian gets kill then you will in all likelihood lose but this is a Quasar deck if you're looking for reliable wins you've come to the wrong side of town.

You draw 4 cards and I have essentially 10-17 level 1 tuners depending, so you need some really awful luck not to get one, but if you don't there's still Quickdraw and Starlight Junktion and you have that additional normal summon left over so really you're bad if you can't continue the play imo. There's also Soul Charge if you're going first or can't continue without it. This information is presumably available elsewhere because it's not exactly hard to see, but it's new to me dammit.

Also obviously this isn't a competitive deck or play or anything, it's just cool to summon Quasar and do synchro things and if you disagree you are wrong and want YuGiOh to fail and you wouldn't want people to find that out would you no so quieten down over there.

The best combo of 2016 is the 3 card level eater abuse synchro deck that draws about 12 cards off of Lib, makes AT LEAST quasar + Sifr, and can make a 2nd quasar with Souls Charge and/or Crystal Wing with Symbol of Heritage, all in 1 turn. That field is almost completely unbreakable, and thanks to the massive amount of draws from Lib, and the inherent draw power of the deck, it's very easy to consistently grab at least 1 of those two spells and/or Left Arm Offering.

That deck does look beautiful and I need to try it. However it also looks like it'd brick to funk a fair bit.

Don't you just love how almost every play for This card is either convoluted and/or requires a specific card(s) that is usually unsearchable?

If it's not convoluted it's not worthwhile.

quasar used to be one of my least favorite monsters, and now i use it faithfully. the things gotten incredibly easy to bring out, and while it's not quite as intimidating as it used to be, it's still a monster that deserves to be taken seriously.

I will forever hate Quasar for The sheer extent to which Konami gimps Synchro Archetypes out of fear of this thing, justified or not.

'sfunny cuz' this isn't the first time, nor would it even be the last, when Konami made a busted card, that's very niche based, and then pretended it doesn't exist.

That's pretty dirty. Too bad Coral is hard OPT.

It is, fortunately. However, you're still getting the Librarian draws, and it puts 3 Coral Dragon in the Grave for Symbol of Heritage. If you have the Extra Deck space (which admittedly most Synchro decks don't) then you may as well.
