Expelsword
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target up to 2 cards on the field; destroy those targets, and if you do, each player can draw 1 card for each of the cards they controlled that was destroyed by this effect. This card cannot attack during the turn it is Normal or Special Summoned. This guy is actually the best Monarch. Blowing up your own cards is hardly a cost to draw these days, and you COULD blow up your opponent's stuff if you had to. It's a shame he can't attack when he's summoned, but then it would just be insane.Turn those Call of the Haunteds into Pot of Greeds, kill those useless Geartowns, Fiendish Chains...Hey, Unions are coming back now. Also: This card's Japanese name, "Kuraisu", is an abbreviation of "Kuraisuto", an affected phonetic translation for Christ.!!!
Toffee.
This guy is actually the best Monarch.Honestly, he always has been. He had an Explosion.dek way back in the day, for example. Plus his effect being able to be used on either turn is a massive benefit. 'Course, it's not like you'd honestly give a funk over what the opponent might or might not draw, since given the fact he is far more likely to blow up vital/key cards, that you'd honestly not second guess what your going to hit. Not to mention there is also the fact it acts as a Draw engine and can basically turn Call/Oasis/etc into Pot of Greed, which is always cute. IQuitDolphin
Why is everybody against popping opponent's cards with this? You are disrupting your opponent's game-plan that you KNOW will break your board in exchange for 2 cards that may or may not do the same thing. I remember the many times a dude popped my stuff with their Kuraz and how it completely screwed them over. I remember the one time a dude got cocky, used Kuraz to winmoar when he had game, and completely threw it all away as I sacked like a mf into those extra draws. It often disrupts, but the risk is that it often furthers the opponent's game more than hurts. It's something I wouldn't do unless I knew for sure how much it was going to hurt. ♪ ♪Aria ♪ ♪
This card is useful for a draw fodder, since it lets the controller of the destroyed card draw up to 2 cards, like Pot of Greed of sorts, and self-destruction won't really hurt these days, especially in explosion deck, plus it also states SS aside from NS, which is good, different from the other monarchs...... The Nyx Avatar
And I used to think that the two featured cards in the Monarch Structure Deck (Delg and Kuraz) sucked. Though, that was back when the most significant Deck Monarch had was Frog Monarch. Now they don't care if they destroy their own cards; they'll easily replace them.
