The Nyx Avatar
Love the Meteor B. Dragon retrain; always nice to have options. Wondering if a Gemini build for Red-Eyes is viable now since all the retrains are Gemini. Not only that, but Spark Field is a thing now, too.Likely no, as it would still brick easily. Hieratic Red Eyes can easy make Ultimaya Ultimaya= Ancient Fairy Dragon = Ceiling Bump + Swapping between Games (OCG only) / Ravine/ Spark I say OCG has it better cause Hieratics, Ravine, discard&tributes => Rejuv and obv Games
Kaiji
I mean it can set up plays, but you're still left with only a beatstick and maybe a revival trap if you insight Neither of which I think will stop you from getting OTK'ed by some of the stronger meta decks Unless I'm radically missing what you suggesting You are, since there was never a Red Eyes vs Meta context (pretty sure we all understand Red Eyes is getting steamrolled) Between Insight and Red eyes Fusion you now have an insane amount of grave set-up which means Red-Eyes has adopted the philosophy of T1 setup, T3 explode deck (which puts it on par with most other legacy support ie DM requiring 1 turn to set up Eternal Soul + Black Circle loops). Reason being you have enough level 7 dragons in grave to trigger Red Eyes Black Flare Metal's detach effect, which can lead to multiple REBFMD on board with a simple Rank 7 engine. That's only IF you give the deck the free turn it needs to crack some eggshells

Pretty much all you need is Red Stone/One for One in hand, as well as some form of opening play (Paladin of Dark + Manju if you choose to run that engine, Insight + Fusion, etc) to set up the grave. Next turn bring the pain. Insight T1 into Fusion into Meteo is particularly decent since it dumps 3 monsters, produces fairly decent burn, and establishes an immediate threat that nets you advantage when dealt with (so long as it hits the grave), and all that with 1 card. The setup power is pretty real.
Ryusei the Morning Star
You are, since there was never a Red Eyes vs Meta context (pretty sure we all understand Red Eyes is getting steamrolled)I think I'm gonna disagree with you on the first one actually. I think there's a bit of potential there. A t1 fusion sending off insight sets up LPD/REDMD. Which can be a decent wall if you invest in cards like CoTH. Chaos Emperor is actually a pretty solid card vs the current meta. Blue-Eyes can't protect vs sending. PKBA might be able to trigger a few BA but more thank likely it's not going to help them that much. DDD die cause of Crystal negating activation (you can use other effects now). Similar deal for Metals. Kirin won't help w/ a chaos monster too much. The burn damage alone should make both Metal and DDD worries. Sorta a red-eyes burn deck The sad part is the deck doesn't have any real draw engine except maybe Rejuv w/hieratics I think it could work

Ryusei the Morning Star
Double Allure and Cards of the Red?Triple allure in OCG if you need it, but CoR is meh. You really shouldn't more than 3 Red Eyes and that's not grounds for Cards. Sacred Sword might honestly be better w/ DDR to tie it all back in

Progenitor
yeah no.it's cute but nothing more tbh. Veiler stops the actual kill, and it forces you to run sub-optimal cards for a chance at first turn cheese. There are probably other hand traps to stop the burn, but their names escape me at the moment. IQuitDolphin
And saying Veiler kills the combo is some dumb reasoning.
Progenitor
I didn't say burning for 4k was bad.I said the FTK was cute cheese.and tried to illustrate a fairly common way to avoid said cheese.like...
