You can only Special Summon Insect-Type monsters the turn you activate this effect.

As it currently stands, only Deck that can actually make this card is basically Digital Bugs (and to be fair, they kind of need some added support because they're pretty bad [see their xenophobia on required materials]). For what it's worth, it's basically a Ptolemaeus for them and grants access to Rhinocebus without having to go through the entire process of making the Rank 5 first, then going into R7. If you really wanted to, suppose they can make stuff like 35/84, but as they are now, I don't think they can really make too much use out of them.

 

At the very least, it has a strong enough body to take hits for a while, which is good. I'm not entirely sure on how well Digital Bugs can field Level 3s though, but from my understanding of them, they need that help to make their bosses. The restriction shouldn't bother you much though.

It has an alternative Summon condition, where all you need is a lvl 3 or lower Insect-Type monster and any Xyz monster to be able to bring him out, it's kind of an easer Summon that way and gives other decks a way to brig this out.

Sure. Though, by materials alone (the standard form as opposed to the alternative form), you'll really only see Digital Bugs use this. I guess you could use Inzektors, build an Xyz, and then bring out an additional Insect-Type monster. But it would be rather slow.

 

However, the Digital Bug Xyz is not where this ends. You can build Number 35: Ravenous Tarantula with this card. That may sound very potent, but this card does require set-up (even with the alternative Summoning condition).
