The Nyx Avatar Posted November 21, 2016 Report Share Posted November 21, 2016 Well, it's a LIGHT Fiend-Type monster (strangly enough my favorite Type and Attribute combination). It's not one you see often. The Normal Summon effect has a potent removal effect, but it does require you to Normal Summon it and target. However, combined with the first effect, the secind effect seems a little excessive (especially with the ATK increase; even if it is kind of low). It's an amusing (albeit a bit potent at full value) beatstick that can attack twice and remove. However, what was your intention with this card? My main intention was to make an avatar card and I wanted the effect to be similar to the effect of Black Luster Soldier-Envoy of the Beginning. Heh, for a moment I thought Nyx had made his own card xDIt is pretty much a watered down BLS Envoy. It doesn't Special Summon itself, it starts up with lower ATK (even though not by much and it can build up to higher amounts), only banishes upon Summon (although any card instead of any monster), and its banishing effect doesn't prevent it from attacking, even twice, that turn. It also has a LP cost but no biggie. It is easy enough to pay but decent enough to feel its presence. I consider this a very fun boss, as basic as it might be. I'd definitely make a deck with Mausoleum of the Emperor, Star Blast, Photon Sanctuary, and those sorts of cards to help this card get into the field. I think it'd even be a pretty decent target for Fairy Tail Sleeper (that'd probably be my best bet here). I actually personally wonder if the BLS Envoy should still be limited... hmm. Oh btw... since the topic lends itself for it.Is the card image a character in specific of some anime?and where does the name Nyx Avatar actually come from? I got curious now.
