I think that's what everyone is saying Darj. Lock the zones linked to the Link monster to deny them their ED abilities.

However, if you mean directly below your zone, it might be pointless to do so. Link monsters have varying Markers, with Missus Radiant pointing to the bottom-left and bottom-right zones, while Link Spider points just to the bottom. So lockign directly below Missus is pointless since you didn't hit the Linked Zones.

You can still bring out Extra Deck Monsters, sure you only get one, but it's better than nothing. All you're doing here is locking a few potential options, and furthermore, there are two Extra Monster Zones to begin with, so unless you grab that one before your opponent, they could just use the other one instead.

That's what we're talking about Zaz. Locking the Linked Main Monster Zones AFTER they has opponent has already brought our their Link Monster to cockblock further attempt as ED spam. We aren't talking about locking the Extra Deck Monster Zone at all.

I know we aren't talking about locking the Extra Monster Zone, I already knew that when posting, I'm not sure why you think I don't. This just won't be a useful card due to the amount of factors and that your opponent can still bring something out, regardless of Link Monsters being involved or not.

Uh, I meant locking the Main Deck Zones adjacent to the Extra Deck Zones even before the opponent summoned any Link Monster; but yeah, I hadn't noticed Link Monsters can have diagonal arrows.

If I'm reading this right, you can use this alongside your own decode talker and block the middle zone and the other diagonal from your opponent's own decode talker

Unfortunately as higher LINK monsters go the more likely your opponent will be granted more LINKs in the main monster zone, as seen in Decode Talker's up arrow which Gravity Collapse won't cover. I figure this is how they intend to print stronger monsters up to LINK 8 by allowing your monster more "freedom" to deal with it.

All depends on the ruling. If you can target the EMZ, this could actually be very good indeed. It could still be decent even if it gets an errata to only target the MMZ, though you'd have to work out what Link Monster they're most likely to summon and block the zone(s) it links to. It would be easier to play round, in that case.

it would still be rather powerful even if you can't work out what monster they would summon

◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️

◻️️x x ◻️◻️

   ◻️️   o

◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️

◻️◻️◻️◻️◻️

summon a monster in where the o is, to claim the EMZ and force your opponent to use the other one. Ground collapse targets the MMZs shown as Xs. This means that they only get to Link into one zone which is then backed into a corner. It's not as bad if they are allowed to Link to S/T zones since they can escape, but it still forces them to go rather out of the way to play around it. Realistically, most decks would be able to Castel/Drident the Ground Collapse and then use that Xyz for Link plays.
