Sleepy
Mecha-DicefaloddonFIRE Level 4 [Machine/Effect] 1800/200Once per turn: You can roll a six-sided die, then apply the result.1; Look at your opponent's hand and discard 1 card from it.2; Discard 1 card from your opponent's hand.3; Your opponent discards 1 card from their hand.4; Look at your opponent's hand.5; Look at 1 card from your opponent's hand.6; Discard 1 card. - - - - ^This is a direct response to "Diceclops" which I didn't even know existed until a few minutes ago. This card starts at 1 with jackpot of "look and discard".Then discards without looking. Then your opponent chooses what to discard. Then just look. Then just a small peek. Then finally, a drawback effect. Which is not really a drawback depending on your deck. "Good but different" is a good way of making luck-based cards in the game IMO, instead of "win or lose harder" like they tend to be when they are any good. Pulling something good but minimal or good but not aligned with your intended play, are drawback enough I think. Though I still added a "jackpot" part to it.... Eshai
WTF Diceclops. Seriously. Anyway, it's a 1/2 chance of being a 1 for 1. a 1/6 chance at being a -2, a 2/6 at being a -1. Pretty balanced for a chance at being Confiscation, but I don't see myself running it in anything except Dark Worlds, which benefit no matter what it is. I will say this could probably be a Spell and be 2x better. It would be a lot easier to use.
Darj
I would prefer if it didn't have any negative effects. Come on, dice effects really deserve for all of their results to be positive in order to have a chance to be relevant; not being able to choose the effect you want the most is enough of a drawback, IMO.Once you do, how about making the effect on-Summon? That way you cannot roll the dice every turn and potentially kill a card repeatedly; in exchange, it gets the ability of potentially disrupting the opponent during the opponent's plays if you Summon it during his/her turn.Effect aside, I can see the FIRE 200 DEF you did there. It would be nasty to Summon multiples through Rekindling/Soul Charge and kill multiple cards from the opponent's hand. And bet you found Diceclops and thought about this after that comment on a Transmodify target for the FIRE Hydralander :v

I just saw a YugiTuber talking about luck-based effects in Yugioh, then discovered Diceclops. As I read it, I was like "ewww 1 in 6 chance of not being detrimental", and then I found out it was a Level 4 FIRE Machine 1800 ATK beater and that helped me get in the mood for making this card, because of that other thread where that had been in my head. Normally yes, it should have all good yet different effects.... sometimes. In this case, all of these effects are gradients of the same kind of effect, ranging from Confiscation on legs to "you wish you played Dark Worlds right about now". Though I should probably make it a different card in stats and typings since it doesn't really help much of anything TBH. I have the feeling we'll get Stratos back before they give us back an extra copy or two of Rekindgling. IDK about your suggested effect. On one hand, it is more disruptive and a little less susceptible to removal on Summon ruining it, by using your way, but on the other hand, if I use your way and get something bad, then that's the end of it. No more re-tries in the future unless you can Summon more of this..... and that doesn't sound very desirable IMO.
