Sleepy
Shadow TrailDARK Level 4 [Winged Beast / Effect] 1400/1800Negate the effects of face-up cards in this Normal Summoned card's column. Negate the effects of face-up monsters in adjacent Main Monster Zones to this Special Summoned card. Cannot be destroyed (by battle or effect) while a card's effect is being negated by this card's effect. Cannot be Tributed or used as a material during the turn it is Summoned. - - - - - It is a Skill Drain that can extend to backrow if in the right place. If you use something like Senet Switch and Lose 1 Turn, you can turn on/off your floodgates at will.I had Gravity Bind in mind when making this up, but forgot how obsolete that card was by now. Well, Messenger of Peace xDYou can also preemptively take care of an opponent's backrow or Extra Deck monster's effect. It doesn't target, and Special Summoned might let you retrieve a little bit of that old school Skill Drain feel. Or at least that's the concept, what do you think?Type could be changed, there's no particular reason why it is Winged Beast, so if there's a more fitting type for its uses, I'd be really thankful to hear it. Dova
Every Winged Beast card is a valuable addition to the ranks. The main issue with this card is, while I can see potential, especially in this Link Era, for locking your opponent's cards related to Columns (even potentially yours, forcing you to make decisions on the fly), it's keeping it on the field that one might see problems with. Unlike cards such as the Barrier Statues, this card doesn't really prevent your opponent getting out a decent monster to run this card over. Said cards don't work well against a simple Normal Summoned monster...but if your opponent doesn't have one...yeah. And besides, that's only one opportunity, which a mirror force can get around. This card locks out up to 3 zones if you count the EMZ and the S/T Zone, but your opponent has 4 others of the MMZ to create plays, and people don't really run Messenger of Peace and the like any more. It's a shame, as I still do love seeing column play. Perhaps some protection might be enough to make it playable...

I actually thought about the idea of maybe it being indestructible if you control any cards being negated by it. I also am considering swapping the Normal Summon effect with the Special Summon one, out of an easier time recovering it via Special Summon, and affecting the opponent that way. That's another option. Darj
How about also locking both players from playing/using any card on that column? Kind of like how Denko Sekka prevents cards from being Set. And the second effect it's intended to only apply on your side of the field, right? What is that for? power plays by negating Barbaros' effect? :vDARK/Winged Beast looks good to me. It makes it searchable by Force Strix xD

It makes it searchable by Force Strix xD Yes, in fact, that is the intended play: Monsters whose effects can be negated. In fact, here's an unusual play: Do you remember the card "Give & Take"? A Trap that revives a monster from your GY to the opponent's side in Defense Position. You can use that under an Extra Monster Zone and negate up to 3 monster effects. EDITED the card just now btw.It has some protection and a little drawback that encourages keeping it on the field for control (and the Give & Take play).
