1 "HERO" Monster

Must be Link Summoned. When this card is Link Summoned, increase this cards ATK equal to the ATK of the Monster used as this cards Link Material. While theirs a Level 5 or higher Monster in a zone this card points to, this card is unaffected by your opponents card effects. When this card destroys a Monster as a result of battle, increase your LP equal to the destroyed Monsters ATK.

So Star Driver is a HERO Link Monster that gains ATK through its Link Material to make it stronger where this can be easily combo'ed with Monsters like Absolute Zero for the Monster Nuke while making this a 2800 ATK Monster. In addition it also gains effect protection while theirs a Level 5 or higher Monster in a zone it points to where if you have a HERO Fusion in one of its Zones which normally are Level 5 or higher, this card will be certified to gain that protection. Finally its LP gaining effect helps you keep afloat as your paying LP for cards like A HERO Lives, Instant Fusion for Link Tech and Solemn Traps where your opponent won't be able to easily knock you out afterwards.

 

In HERO Decks this is defiantly a nice tech beat stick for HERO's.

Honestly, I really don't see the need to make this a Nomi monster, considering that it's dead outside the EMZ.

 

Granted, this can go up to around 2700-3000 at most (assuming you did use a boss monster to summon it, which you probably are), plus immunity if you can summon another one there. However, that requires you to have actually used said boss monster to make this (and you're already aware that most of their bosses are Nomi too). In most cases, you'll probably want to keep said ED around. 

 

Yes, you can also make this with a smaller monster too for less payoff (i.e. Solidman into Mist; latter grabs you a Mask Change, use Solid to make this with 1600, then use Change to summon Dark Law/Anki to this card's linked area to provide protection; ASSUMING this is still in the EMZ). Granted, you'll still get the power boost if you Link Summon in the Main Monster Zone, but no protection. Heck, you don't get protection even with Wonder Driver pointing at this. To be honest, outside of the Masked HEROs (and I guess Core if you can actually make him nowadays), what Level 5+ HEROs are you going to have this pointing to that are even worth consideration in the current game?

 

LP thing is fine, though again, without this being Link Summoned first, you're not gaining anything.

It's easy to summon in HEROs, yes, but like I said before, it's usually dead outside the EMZ and vulnerable to removal. HEROs don't have any cards that can cheat this card out anyway (and even if they did, it'd be pointless since it wouldn't gain any stats and you're stuck with a 300 ATK monster).

 

You could probably remove the Nomi condition and just change it to "Must first be Link Summoned". Not that you'd ever revive this with CoTH, but you don't have to always give HERO Extra Deck the Nomi condition.
