AC04-JP012 ブレイク・ザ・シール Break the Seal
Trap/Continuous
You can only use the (1)st and (2)nd effects of this card’s name each once per turn.
(1) You can activate 1 of these effects;
● Place 1 “Break the Seal” from your Deck or GY on your field face-up.
● Send 2 face-up “Break the Seal” you control to the GY, including this card; add 1 “Forbidden One” monster from your Deck to your hand.
(2) If this card on the field is destroyed: You can reveal up to 5 “Forbidden One” monsters in your hand; return an equal number of cards your opponent controls to the hand.

If I have 5, thenwin the duel.

No shit Sherlock.

But yeah, it makes more sense for the card to say up to 5, than up to 4 considering there are 5 in the archetype despite you winning the duel if all 5 are in the hand anyway.

Funny, coming from a person who made a few grammatical errors in this post.

The number is actually pretty inconsequential. They could have just said "any number" to the same effect considering the 5 pieces are forever limited and Exodia doesn't give you the option to not win once assembled anyways. I guess it's a safety net in case they make more "the forbidden one" cards or if they ever unlimit the pieces.

Which the pieces could probably afford to be unlimited no problem. Even going the FTK route wouldn't be all that much faster or harder to stop than any other modern decks.... or easier to side for. Not to mention the bricks that are the concept of having 12 Normal Monsters in the Main. God forbid that "The Legendary Exodia Incarnate" can reach half as much potential ATK as "King of Skull Servants" or Gren Maju.

Trap is straight up a better Destiny Board. Your turn 1 you activate and have 2, then on your opponent's turn 1 you'd have 3, give up 2 and search for 1 piece. Then 1.5 turn cycles 3 more times and a single turn for the last piece, minus any pieces you might have had already in hand. It is an 8-ish turn win con that would have also turned Magic Planter into Pot of Greed if need be, and offers at least some form of compensation for getting it destroyed.

It's neat. Not particularly groundbreaking but more exciting than FTK variants at least xD
