Okay, I am NOT going to look through 53 pages to see if this has been discussed enough, but I'm pretty sure we can still discuss this.

 

Anyway, things to discuss:

 

1) The art.

2) Chance of this being unbanned, and what it would/should be placed at.

3) The card in general.

1. The art is awesome.

2. This card could be limited and I don't think it would have much (if any) effect on the current Meta.

3. This card should have been an Ultra Rare.

2) Keep at 0 forever. It's a 3-or-0 card, and I think we can all see why 3 isn't a good idea. The addition of Synchro Monsters has made it worse than ever, since a Level 6 that Special Summons itself is a very good thing.

If Synchros did not exist, then it might have barely been justifiable being put at something other than 0. Not now.

I wasn't thinking about Synchro Monsters when I first posted in this thread. This card needs to stay banned.

2) I would say Limited, but as Crab Helmet mentioned Synchro's, I've decided otherwise.

if true though, it is more like BLS and CEM are upgrades of this, not the other way around, which is seen more times than most people would like.

i reckon the art is pretty good,but not awesome.the effect is pretty good,a free removal so you can swing for more damage.and of course,Synchro fodder.

I just need to see that art on a legal card again. And if he was repritend in super? Awesomeness. However, Chaos Sorcerer is certainly a ridiculously cheap card.

 

Prior to the existence of Synchros, he wasn't that great. I mean, he was a Special Summon, but he couldn't attack if he used his effect, so you had to choose between a beatstick a a piece of monster removal. The fact that his Special Summon requirements, while easy to pull off in a properly designed deck, limited deckbuilding and forced you to try to balance the two types while minimizing inconsistency. Many would forgo him for Caius anyways, since Caius is not so restrictive on the contents of your deck and could attack in the same turn he blew something up, in addition to being able to remove spells.

 

Of course, this has all changed now. If he was legalized now, a hand of him+Krebons/lv2 tuner is basically a hand of a Smashing Ground that removes and a normal summonable beatstick with an ATK ranging from 2500-2800 and that had multiple effects that you could choose from upon summon.

 

Tell me, if such a monster was existent, don't you think it would be (or at least should be, you never know with Konami) banned pretty damn fast? Don't unban Chaos Sorcerer.
