[DISC]Gladiator Beast Retiari

Recommended Posts

I never understand why people complain when they don't think the Secret Rares are very strong. It strikes me that they should be happy that the best cards in the set aren't the ones that are hardest to get.

What gets me annoyed is that if I decide Im bored with the deck and take it apart what trade-stock do I get outta it? a few supers and that it -.-

True, but odds are a few of the good cards will be hard to get and I'd just be pissed if I got this over one of the other hard to get ones.

My initial reaction to this guy was negative, but I can see a few uses sprouting out of him. It's common enough for a Tele-DAD deck to D-Draw a Malicious without an immediate way to put him to use. In that case: Remove him.

If you happen to be going for Gyzarus or Herk or whatever and haven't got anything better to summon, you might as well take out a few DARK's or Lightsworn in your opponent's graveyards to delay DAD/JD's summon.

It can also take out stray Plaguespreaders. The same would apply for Gardnas, except A. they'd likely be used to stop the battle that allowed you to tag him in and B. The new ruling on Gardna makes his effect largely useless against them.

I don't understand why anyone would think this card is bad.

First of all, it can remove a Plaguespreader, Necro Gardna, or Quillbolt Hedgehog that was milled by Lightsworn monsters or Judgment Dragon during the End Phase. Since the cards are milled during the End Phase, there's no way for your opponent to use them at that time. That means this card can easily prevent your opponent from using good card(s) that they milled.

Second of all, the art is awesome. I think this card adds variety to the Gladiator Beast theme, and I'm not at all disappointed with it.

Upon careful thinking while under the influence Nyquil, I've come to the conclusion that this card sucks balls.

It's pretty much a worse version of D.D. Crow, and Crow sucks, so that's saying a lot.

All Crow has going for it is that's it's used for countering broken cards which shouldn't exist in the first place, or fueling broken cards that shouldn't exist in the first place.

This card is bad, and anyone hyping this is bad at the game.

i kinda see now how this might see some play run at 1x copy

you tag out gyaz, like you're gona go and get herk or something,

but instead of dragging out another laquari or hoplomus (still run?) or whatever, you can get Retiari and take out something in the grave that might come back later

take out a krebons or a lumina or whatever

so, not the worst >< still goes to spartacus

Basically a Gladiator Beast equivalent of D.D. Crow but worse.

I would rather use D.D. Crow.

On another sorta the same note' date=' is it just me or are many of the Rare Cards in the newer card sets becoming worse and worse.

It's going to be OK we still have Treterous Trap Hole...

Oh and Retiari may be a bad choice of name and a not so great copy of D.D. Crow but it has potential...nice art.
