Lazer Yoshi
Uh.... yeah. 1: Get a strong Pokemon with False Swipe.2: Use False Swipe until the Lake Pokemon has 1 Point of health.3: Give it a status condition that won't hurt it.4: Throw any kind of ball that isn't a Master Ball, and you have an 85% Chance of catching. If not, throw another, and repeat the process until caught :DHope I helped you out dude ^_^

Guest Tiger
Yeah. I've done it a million times. Just buy MANY ultra balls, weaken the pokemon to it's red. And keep using the master balls.

Cin
Dusk Ball really helps, just make sure you have a pokemon strong enough to weather it. With Mesprit you must have a Pokemon with either the ability Arena Trap (or Similar) or the move Mean Look (or similar), putting it to sleep will still allow it to escape. Same applies to Creselia. Mesprit unlike the others doesn't get a higher capture rate with Dusk Ball unless it is at night, because unlike the others it doesn't reside in cave. Persistence pays off. Pikachu
^ You explain too much *writes notes*But most importantly, just make it extremely weak, Paralyse/Sleep it, and CATCH! With tons of Ultra Balls
Larxene
i cant use a master ball as i used it for dialga Start a new game NAO Never use your master ball on Dialga/Palkia Save it for Mesprit or Cresselia
MasterOfMagicians
You can do a few things.1) Weaken the pokemon until its got 1 hp left (like they said, false swipe will do it) and use a great many ultra, great, or dark balls on it.2) Weaken it and draw the battle out as long as possible and use a timer ball on it (should only take 2 or 3 after 8 or 9 turns.3) paralyze it or put it to sleep, get it weak, and then use dark or ultra ball. I, personally, like the timer-ball method. You can draw the battle out very easily if you have a couple higher level pokemon. I would just wait to catch the lake pokemon until after you have at least 3 at level 60 and the other 3 between 30 and 40. Use the 30 and 40 to do the damage, and the 60's to paralyze or put it to sleep, and stall until you've passed about 8 or 9 of your own turns. Otherwise, get an action replay, get the "all pokeballs like masterballs" cheat, activate it, then go battle and throw a pokeball. You'll catch them every time! Mr. Judgment Dragon
i cant use a master ball as i used it for dialga Start a new game NAO Never use your master ball on anything Raise a Crobat and use it to battle against Mesprit or Cresselia Fix'd and fix'd. Paralysis and Sleep are your friends here. Weakening into the red is also what you should aim for. Mesprit can be a real pain but it is by no means impossible to capture. Its a matter of blocking its escape (Crobat works best for this) and battling it like any other legendary. If you have a huge supply of Master Balls, by all means use them. Larxene
Why would you not use your Masterball at all? >.> Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of it?
Mr. Judgment Dragon
It kind of defeats the whole purpose of it the Master Ball, but it isnt needed unless you're up against something like Arceus which I heard is next to impossible to capture with anything except a Master Ball. A friend of mine who had all the special event items for Darkrai, Shaymin and Arceus hacked said that getting Arceus down to 1 HP and Paralyzed wasnt enough to capture it with anything except a Master Ball. The first time I went through Diamond Version, I captured all the Legendaries (except the Special event ones) with Ultra Balls. Some of them were a real pain but it is possible. MasterOfMagicians
Clariex, you would have had better luck with a timer ball.
Larxene
By saying "it took forever" doesn't mean the battle lasted long. It meant that it took multiple attempts
