[DISC] Grasschopper

it's not that sexy

first you have to tribute summon it and then you have to second summon it

it's not worth it.

you would be surprised how many times, in the right deck, that card gets you the win.

Gemini decks are dangerous when done right. they can swarm and make huge monsters at the same time, and there is no lack of stat power ether if you just need a beat-stick.

sure, JD and DaD do it better, but they work off of destruction, not multi-attack.

tell me how many times in a duel does the opponent have 3 or more monsters on the field all of them with less than 2350 ATK.

here let me give you an example.

mystic tomato, mystic tomato, mystic tomato, apprentice, apprentice, apprentice, old vindictive magician.

I attack with my other monsters and win the game. (Gemini's swarm, remember?)

sure, at the end you lose grass-choper (maybe), but you just burned through 7 monsters that they eventually would need to do something or other.

my point is it kills creature based stall that isn't unkillable.

So, what you're saying is that it's a half-decent counter to one aspect of one unpopular deck, and only actually acts as a counter to said aspect of said deck when the opponent is playing stupidly?

it only good in gigaswarm for either some annoying attacker that clears the field for a win with your other guys who are on the field(grasschopper = destroys all monsters except for 2400 ATK and above. Then 3 gigaplants = 7200 + tytannical or a monster with an ATK of 800 ATK or more = OTK. but when does that happen.. not very often.

and its also material for dragon mirror/future fusion to summon raptinus.

nothing else.

i think i over did it, personally.

no one (worth playing) is that stupid.

i was just trying to give an example of how monster replacement stall (useful since it thins your deck while protecting your life points) becomes ineffective against chopper AND allows your other monsters to attack directly in the majority.
