Removing Post Count completely?

The only thing that will reduce, is the quality of posts. At least now, theres at least some decincy of character.

You're just saying that because you're the top poster. ;)

Besides, if post count was turned off, all the complete idiots who only post in order to increase their post count would get bored and leave.

If anything, the quality of posts would increase. =/

No, let me put a picture in your head for you.

With post, members post under the rules.

Without post count, members will post over the rules.

Why follow the rules if your not gaining anything?

So, you only post for post count?

There's a hole in your logic

You who know all the answers

You claim science ain't magic

And expect me to buy it

Whether their is post count or not the quality WILL still depend on the member posting it. It is most likely that the ones who post lousy post only do so because of the post count who will eventualy get tired because in the end their only motivation is post count. If it isn't and their bad then I'm sure they'll try to improve. WIN WIN you LOSE situation =D

Uh, I'm not being impatient or anything, but:

Did YCMaker ever get the chance to view the suggestions given by the rest of the staff, for the new moderator decisions?

If so, do you know when he'll put anything in effect?

I apologize if this post make me sound a bit impatient - I'm just really curious.

Thanks,

We lose the stars if the post count goes. Without the stars then we don't know if we tell someone off for breaking the rules or show them the rule thread and be nice because they're new. I can't be bothered looking at the join date.

Then, we take away the stars. The join date is just a flicker of your eyes away, as it is ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE POST. See, over there, right between those numbers. Not that hard, eh?

A majority of the old moderators should still be fired simply because they were not good leadership material.

I should be reinstated for my excellent performance in operating my forum in the past.

As for forum organization' date=' I propose something along the lines of this for General; everything is neatly categorized and concise.

I quote myself because I feel my point has been unacknowledged.

Obligatory self-quote, because I'm too lazy to read through several pages to see what's been made on my points.

Can't you find a way to increase his Warning Level for this?

Okay...I just tried to report Tea's post (Post #515 in this thread) and for some reason the report-post box is not opening for me. I try to see if it'll open for all the other posts, and it does. (Of course, it's only to test if the report box is still working for me) which it should be sense it pops up for all the other posts in this topic, but never for #515 by Tea Leaf. The reason why I would like to report his/her post is because it's suspicious for advertising his/her own site. Also for repeatedly quoting his/her own post, when I am unsure if anyone even responds to her. I am thinking that there might be some kind of anti-reporting hack on her posts, because the report box is not showing up.

Your "logic" is flawed.

Look at it this way.

You want post count removed, for god knows what reason.

You say that removing post count, will increase the quality of posts.

Lets take a look into the real world here:

We remove taxes, what happens? People start buying whatever they want, houes, boats, cars, soon enough, the rich become even richer, and the poor are erased.

You remove post count, and those members who are already trolling, continue to troll, but without trying to cover up the fact, that they just really want to spam.
