If you've ever been to FanFiction.net then you'll see that they recently (well, a fair few months ago) added a Beta Reader system. This means that when a writer is ready to post their work, instead of just posting it they would first send it to their Beta Reader, who would proof read it and fix any errors before handing it back to the writer for them to post.
