Ryo was Asuka's rock for her when her brother was missing, although Asuka only ever likened him to being like a brother to her. (Funnily shown just before Manjoume asked Fubuki if Asuka was dating Ryo, since he wanted to make a move on her and saw how close they were). Basically alot of the time where you saw Ryo you saw Asuka, but Ryo was going through the same thing after all it was his friend missing. Rei even suggested it because Asuka was butting in that Asuka was interested in Ryo like she was. Asuka did alot of pulling Sho up when Ryo went through the whole Hell Kaiser thing. She showed interested a few times in him originally, but that was it, she never acted upon because it was more a genuine respect like with Ryo at times. Of course, this was when Zane supposedly died, so Jaden was probably more of a....I forgot the term, but it's pretty much the same as a last resort for love. Cin Posted December 12, 2008 Report Share Posted December 12, 2008 You say original dialogue then use the dub names *shoots* Ryo turned off literally everyone, except maybe Fubuki who still cared about him alot, Judai who probably respected him alot more after Ryo gave his life to get Judai back to where he should be (although Ryo would never admit that), and his brother. Cin Posted December 12, 2008 Report Share Posted December 12, 2008 Yes, his pride ultimately lead to his heart problem. (Typical of a Marufuji, as stubborn as a mule). He couldn't swallow his pride, which meant he couldn't ask for help when it hit rock bottom, so he stubbornly went to an underground duel with the shock devices. This isn't about Ry tho. Alexis was dignified not to.
