Megaworm
Thousands of years ago, there was a card in the Metal Raiders set called Seven Tools Of The Bandit. It was a sacred card, known to be the only Trap negator of it's kind. It ruled supreme in Starter Decks and Shutdown decks all over the world. Until people realised it was a piece of crap and trashed it when Pharaoh's Servant was released. So, my friends, this ancient mystery is reopened: What killed the dinosaurs, erp I MEAN....Seven Tools?

Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP
I think the first card to kill Seven Tools was Jinzo
Cyberdog
Metal Raiders had Solemn Judgment if i recall correctly... Solemn has always been better.
Megaworm
Metal Raiders had Solemn Judgment if i recall correctly... Solemn has always been better. so Solemn pretty much killed Seven Tools to begin with?
zelda_tp_fan
As time went on, people started playing less and less traps in their decks... which made running seven tools pointless... No point in wasting space on a card that will only stop a couple of cards, ja?
Azuh
How many times do we have to explain this too you? • Dark Bribe/Solemn kills it. • Not many people run traps to make this usable
KurashiDragon
A jinzo/Amplifier Combo is pretty much what saw to the total destruction of seven tools of the bandit.

KurashiDragon
Really, how so???? Negating all your opponent's Traps without getting rid of your own and no Cons. I don't see how that's a bad thing.
~ P O L A R I S ~
^ What about the fact that you won't be able to use your Amplifier unless you've got Jinzo out, and since you're not gonna have Jinzo out 100% of the time, Amplifier'll be a useless card almost every time. The Jinzo/Amplifier combo is bad, because Amplifier cannot be used without Jinzo. So saying that this combo, which is ironically seen less in competitive play than Seven Tools of the Bandit, caused the total destruction of Seven Tools of the Bandit is false. Combos in which both of the cards are good alone and work even better when used in combination are good, combos in which one or more of the cards are bad or can't be used unless they're being used with the other cards in the combo are bad, and won't be causing the destruction of the usage of anything. Still jinzo has it's weak points. Affecting you cards is the main (and only) thing. So amplifier is at least a small option, isn't it?
JesusofChaos™
In noob land seven tools was good, people then realised solemn was 1,000,000 times better
GenzoTheHarpist
There was a time when this was better then Solemn, because people used more traps, and things were less focused on winning in one fell swoop, and the Lifepoint cost would have major significance later on. Abstract [Atrocity]
the release of Solemn... ...which was in the same set as this.
snake101
well i see good answeres but the one thing people forgot to mention is the fact that with all the new cards that came out everybody was bound to forget about a mediocur card like seven tools of the bandit
Azure
Theres just loads of cards to negate it, you'd still have to pay that over priced 1000 life points, theres just better cards than this one.
Phantom Roxas
I voted for Royal Decree, since back when Solemn came out, Life Point costs were more important back then.
