What are you talking about? If I had no life this project would be huge but, I can't dedicate my whole life to this project. I've been doing a lot for this project and it seems no one is helping me if that is what your talking about. Because I agree with you completely. I don't want this project to die either but, since nobody has really been stepping up to do anything its probably gonna die. I really don't want that to happen.

To be honest I'm leaving this project and I'm gonna start my own project. I'm going to Pojo forums because people are more active there and they have a larger community. BTW I go by Profound086 on Pojo Forums if anyone wants to come with me. When I do start the new project it may take a while for me to get started because of making new rules and setting up a Main Page. I'm thinking it will take about a Month to get started. Anyway good bye and good luck everyone its been fun.

Yeah that is what i mean... And sad thing is that people that rant the most - doesn't work at all...

If i will ever continue with this project i will start acting like real leader - i will make most of decisions, people that will rant will be kicked out etc... So there will be no fights and shits.. If someone doesn't agree then he is free to left...

I think that i have done it that way it would be much better right now...

But face it, project died when i left...

I think it died before you left. I felt there was too much conflict to say the least. I'd rather start my own project with a better and more active community. Also I thought the whole community should have been able to participate. Anyway I'm gonna take what I learned from hear good and bad and apply it my way. This may take a while though but, I will do it on my time. Also thanks I really appreciate your support. Maybe I'll create a successful CCG project that everyone can agree on.

It didn't die while i was active because a lot of things was happening and people was posting in our threads all the time... But it was less active then in set 0 because i was less active too.. So more i was not active, more project died because nothing was happening..

You can't create a CCG project where everyone will agree.. Like i told, i should have been more fierce leader and kick out people that was starting most of the fights.. Its impossible to make all wishes come true because of tons of reasons..

Also, no one did care about new people that come all the time..

Face it, this forum is full of people that don't even know how to play ygo or are too young or something other...

One of key factors was also laziness and that me and few others didn't work , this project would never go anywhere..

At least 1 set was finished and it is best set of YCM forums like many people commented.. And i think we should be proud because of that..

And i can promise u i will finish current set even if i need to do it all by myself..

That means - every card will be in YCM format and posted in realistic cards section in 1 thread like last time

To be honest I was thinking about how I was gonna make my CCG and I came up with this. I was thinking of gathering a select few people that I trust and know are good card creators and only those people create the cards for the game. Everybody else would play the game and gives there input. If we notice that someone is talented at creating cards we can recruit them and they to can make cards along side us. What do you think about that?

I am not sure how much people would be interested in that.. People are mostly interested in using THEIR cards in game...

For example i was thinking that Snitch is good guy and 1 day he come to IRC and started offending that this is bullshit game because 1 reason and that reason was that half of my cards made in set while he have only 1 card, so because of that game really sucks...

I couldn't believe he is like that..

You could go that way if u still give opportunity to others to put their cards in game...

Well im not that guy so, i guess i will just have to wait and see will anyone do it,

 

Their should be 5 or 6 people and each have equal say, and responsibility's, and they all have to rule over some part of the process, like 1 does submission phase, 1 does balancing, 1 does pics e.t.c and they should all have the proper hopes for the project, not just this is fun i will do this for a month the leave, it would be so much easier if the people new each other in real life

That's a good point but, pojo is a little different because a lot of people that are in the Create-A-Card section of the Forums are also active in the Ban Restricted List Forums. The question is who would play it? If we get a lot of players then the game lives on but, if people don't play the game dies. That is the one and pretty much the only thing I'm concerend about.

Wow, your attempting to leave? I expected that. Some of these arguements do help. They provide a different and better solution to a problem. But that was at the beginning. These arguements are starting to decline in value and don't help any part of this project.

 

Anyway, I think it's not that we aren't trying. I think that it's the fact that the maximum of what we can put into this is not enough. To me, I don't blame it on anyone. The simple fact is that as a group in this state, we cannot hold this project too long. Maybe going to different communities would help a lot, finding out how many people are needed and what type of people are needed. Yes, you might think you are doing all the work, but we are trying to do some work, too. We just don't have the ability to do as much as you please.

 

Well, anyway, good luck forty. I hope your project will be more sucsessful than this one.

 

~Ghost Rare~, a new card game would be twice this work. I really like the idea, but that's way too much work. And I'm not the person to work like that. But again, very good idea.

Should we even worry about images? I feel like this could move along a lot faster if we don't do the images. Another option might be to release the cards first and continue with the submission phases while leaving images as a secondary priority.

 

I personally am very bad coming up with images and with Nightmarian and forty apparently gone, there would have to be people that would be willing to do it.

 

I am also of the opinion that we should open set 2 now. What doyou guys think?

Karl I already had this discussion a while ago. Most people agreed that Images are not a required. If you have them that its a plus but, its not necessary. IMO Set02 should be now as well. I didn't exactly leave just yet. I just don't want to be stuck doing a the work. I might start a new project but, its not final. Like I said I don't want to leave but, the way things are going I might. I mean if I'm gonna do all the work then why not start my own project? If people take some off the workload of me then I will stay.

oof. so much depressing talk. well, i dont know how much i can help but.......i think its about time that i really6 got serious about the whole thing. now looking up tasks to be done. nightmarian, fortycal, prepare to be pestered very soon with an application from me. to work!

i think i was sent a piece of mail concerning this job here.

Card Converters: Since YVD only recognizes cards in its database when it’s written in a specific format we need people who can convert the submissions into YVD. All details are written bellow, on how YVD likes to see the cards in. It’s a simple task but requires some time depending on how many submissions there are.

i will now look it up to see how it is done. hopefully there'll be work to do there soon.
