Welcome to Yu-Gi-Oh! The Created Card Game project!!!!

There is no deadline for signing up to this project. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join at any point in time.

A lot of us here enjoy creating are cards but has any one of us taken our card creation one step further and actually using them in a game? This is exactly what I would like to try and organize here. Some of you might be wondering how it would be possible to do this and it’s actually quite simple. YVD is a free online Yugioh client that allows players from around the world play Yugioh together. The system they use to add cards to the database is simple and allows for anyone to add their own cards to the database. So in essence it is possible to set up a created card game for Yugioh card players. What I would like to try to do is organize a community of card creators who are willing to play online with a card database that is created by users from various forums. ( TCG/OCG cards are excluded ).

I think a project of this nature can be very fun and help better our card making skills.

Obviously, in order to get this up and running we need the help of volunteers to make this go as smoothly as possible. There is already a small group of us who are trying to get this to work. I’m not asking people to dedicate their lives to this but if we have several people doing certain tasks then things will go a lot smoother and we get to the fun part faster. So we are looking for people to help in the following tasks:

[spoiler= Project Jobs ]

Card Creators: Anyone who joins is free to submit cards for the project; however, there are some rules and guidelines that need to be followed before you submit your cards. All of the card submission details is explained bellow in this post.

Card Re-Worders:

People who can review the card submissions and correct any issues with the wording of the cards.

Card Converters: Since YVD only recognizes cards in its database when it’s written in a specific format we need people who can convert the submissions into YVD. All details are written bellow, on how YVD likes to see the cards in. It’s a simple task but requires some time depending on how many submissions there are.

Card Balancers: People who can assist in determining what cards are overpowered and what can be done to balance the card. Typically, this is done by everyone during play testing but people who can take the time to go through the card pool and try to break the game are welcomed. However, main word in this will have most competitive people in this project.

Graphics: Anyone who can create/find images to the cards that get created. You can look for pictures on deviantart.com, google.com, imageshack, but it is even better idea to look in our Pictures Gallery which actually contains right now around 3000 quality pictures. Basically, if the person who submitted the card does not submit an image you are free to find an image that best fits the card. Furthermore, you can assist in resizing the images so YVD recognizes it. Details about resizing are written bellow.

Players: Anyone is free to play in the created card game regardless of whether they contribute to the card creation.

If anyone wants to join and/or wants to volunteer to help out in one of the above tasks please post here. Also, I will note that if we do not have enough people who are helping out with the above tasks then it might be necessary that each person might need to do one of the above tasks. It’s just that if we have a lot of people who are just submitting cards and playing with them then it’ll be overwhelming for the few of us who are doing tasks like correcting the wording and converting them into YVD format. It’ll take longer to finish set if we don’t have enough people helping out.

[spoiler=Card Submission Process]

The Card Submission process will be broken down into 4 Phases.

Submission Phase

Anyone can join in this. There is no entry fee either.

Each Card Creator in the project will need to post their submissions for the set. Post all card submissions in text format meaning no images. It will make it easier to go through all card submissions and organize them accordingly. You can post card images made through YCM but post them in a spoiler box right after your text submission.

If you make a post with a few cards then make more later on edit your initial card submission post with the new cards. It just makes it easier to track the cards that have been submitted. Just make a new post indicating that you’ve done so and what page we can find the cards. Making new posts with new cards makes it difficult to track down what’s been submitted and I won't be responsible if not all your cards make it into the set.

There will be always categories, and when submitting cards you need to write number of category, and then card(s) for that category ( some categories asks for more then 1 card ).

You need to follow rules of category for which you are submitting cards.

This is example of how categories looks like :

13) An Effect Monster that is a Union monster

18) Any card to support WIND monster(s)

In each Set there will be category like this :

45-100) Can be anything. Of these, you can include 1 or 2 themes with up to 15 cards each to start. (But you don't have to.)

Meaning you can submit any card you want , in this case up to 55 any cards you want. You could also in this case submit up to 2 themes.

You don't have to submit cards for each category, you can pick and choose.

There will be always end date for Submission Phase, but you can cards even if Submission Phase is over. You can post your cards during Elimination Phase as well, but you need to clearly say what cards you added, and what changes you made. So post new and edited cards in new post.

Someone will always need to place all cards in 1 post, and sort them by categories. Reward is 2 REPs.

After Voting Phase starts, you can submit your cards anymore.

Elimination Phase

In this phase a select few people (Nightmarian, Karl etc.) will eliminate any cards that do not respect rules, or there is some another reason for it. The creators will be notified of those cards that have been tossed out so they can make new cards to replace those submissions, or fix problematic ones.

There is no infinite number of chances to fix cards, if original creators are not able to fix their card, cards will be fix'd by main balancers or thrown out...(original creator can also demand that his card is thrown out if he doesn't like changes)

Also, cards that are not in correct category will be moved to correct category..categories where any card can be posted are excluded by this rule except if other category says that cards that fit that category cannot be submitted anywhere else except in it..

Voting Phase

Once all card creators have posted their cards then each member of the team will need to choose winner card(s) for each category. Winner cards will be decided by VOTING of all people that submit here their cards, and by all people that are in CCG project. The creator of the cards cannot vote for any of their cards. So except really fair results. It is actually community decision what cards will win. The cards with the top votes will proceed to the final phase.

Post all votes in 1 post, by listing all categories with winner card(s) in each one.

Number of cards in category where any cards can be submitted will be lowered by :

-total number of cards in all winner themes

-number of cards that come to set in any other way ( for example by tournament)

-by adding some additional groups that wasn't there before

At end, each set should have 100 cards total.

How to vote??

Criteria should be :

-card balance

-combo ability with existing cards in CCG

-does our game needs that card?

-creativity, will it make our game better, and more interesting to play?

-does it makes current metagame better??

-does it enable creation of new decks, helps old decks that don't have chance right now etc.

Ignore all wording errors, pictures, and even card names, and similar not important things... Things i written above are ONLY important, all other is easy to fix, and cards will be reworded anyway...

Users that will will be involved in unfair voting (for their friends, calculating and voting for someone random to beat their competition etc.) will be banned from this project permanently.

It is easy to notice it believe me, we are not doing this to get our cards in, we are doing this to make a great game, so vote for cards that are really best. If you can't, then leave this project please because you are only harming this.

Final Phase

All cards that are voted into this phase will have their wording checked by our re-worders and the card balancers will need to review the cards to check for any obvious overpowered cards etc. Any card that can be better will be edited, it is really difficult to write all reasons why some stat for example of card could be changed, but nothing will be changed if it is not necessary. All edits will be done to make card better , which will make game better.

Once the cards have gone through the initial edits they will then be converted into YVD format and the YVD set will be created/updated and then distributed to all players. I will distribute the YVD set file through our IRC channel and post direct download links on the forum.

All players will need to be in the IRC Channel for the easiest way to arrange duels with other players. All cards that are deemed to be unbalanced will be subjected to editing until they are useable once more. If they are beyond fixing they will be tossed out of the set, and replaced with cards that was right behind it with number of votes in corresponding category.

All cards that make it through the testing will be in the final set, which will be redistributed to everyone. If images haven’t been created by this point then this will be the time when images can be searched and created.

Don't forget that you can again submit any cards that didn't make it during next set Submission Phase ( except if category in which that card fits got restricted ).

Promo Card

At end of each Set team will vote for 1 best card of Set. Each member can vote for up to 3 cards. Criteria is picture, balance, creativity etc. Picture of winner card (that got most votes) will be used as set booster picture, and creator of that card will get 1 reputation point, and also ability to make 1 additional card that will go directly to next set, and that card number will be 0.

[spoiler=The Point System]

At the end of each set there will be points awarded to each member who participated in the set. Based on your contributions to the set you will earn a certain amount of reputation points accordingly. You can also earn reputation and get some other rewards from CCG tournaments that we will are holding. The breakdown of the point system is as follows:

1. For each set of 3 cards of yours that makes it into the finalized set you will earn 1 reputation point.

2. For each 5 accepted image you found for a card you will gain 1 reputation point.

3. For every 10 reworded cards you will earn 1 reputation point. (only final wordings will be counted)

4. For every broken card or broken card combo that you discover and share you will earn 1 reputation point.

5. For every 20 cards you convert to YVD format you will earn 1 reputation point.

6. Reputation points can be get in other ways , like on tournaments etc.

[spoiler=General Rules & Guidelines for Card Submission Process]

1. Please do not create cards that support existing themes to the TCG/OCG. So no support cards for E-Heroes, D-Heroes, Aliens, etc... Please leave the existing themes alone. It defeats the purpose of a created card game if everyone starts using existing cards in the TCG/OCG rather than cards created by the community. Any cards that break this rule will be excluded from subsequent phases.

2. Please do not make cards that are exact copies of existing cards in the TCG/OCG. There can be exceptions to this rule depending on the circumstances. This is mostly applicable to themes as we don’t want to see multiple themes copying cards such Destiny Draw. Any cards that break this rule will be excluded from subsequent phases.

3. Do not post cards that are overpowered and deserved to be banned from the start. If you feel that a card needs to be semi-limited or limited then make a note in your submission. However, try to avoid making cards that are worth semi-limiting/limiting from the start. There are some cards that need to get made and put on that list automatically but if we start getting an influx of those cards then it only hurts our metagame. I won’t stop you from making them but be warned that said cards will most likely be subject to editing and/or excluded from subsequent phases.

4. In general try to not to make cards that do the following:

-Generic Monster/Spell/Trap destruction that have easy activation requirements.

-Generic cards that stall your opponent.

-Level 4 or lower Normal monsters that have high ATK power. I don’t want to see a lot of Normal Monsters with 1900-2000 ATK in that level range. Gene Warped Werewolf should be the only one of its kind. A level 4 effect monster with said ATK range better have a mediocre effect or some restrictions to it. In general everyone needs to avoid from making too many 1900 ATK monsters.

-Level 5-6 Normal monsters that have 2500+ ATK.

-Effect monsters with good effects that have more then 1800 ATK.

-Level 4 or less monsters with DEF more then then 2100 except if there is some good drawback. ( bigger DEF, bigger drawback there should be )

-Non-Themed Normal or Quick-Play Cards that give you generic draw power. We don’t need Pot of Greed clones out there. Be warned that any cards that give generic draw power will be banned on the spot unless they have creative activation conditions, have an appropriate cost, or a good balancing mechanism to it. In general the conditions either have to be really difficult/situational or the costs better be heavy for the user.

-Non-themed monsters that will Special Summon other monsters when they are destroyed by battle. Chances are we will port over existing cards that do that or remake them.

-Monster Cards that have too many beneficial effects that are easy to activate without an appropriate cost.

-Cards that got tons of effects, while there is no real reason/logic why they are really there.

-Cards that fit in our restricted categories list.

-Cards that do almost same thing as some other card that is already in our game.

-Massive removal except in case when condition to activate it is really hard.

-Any removal/destruction/swarm will be controlled because our idea is that CCG is slower game then TCG, and that luck is at minimum, while brain should be at maximum.

Any cards that do any of the above will be excluded from subsequent phases.

5. I know not everyone is a master of wording Yugioh cards and there may be people who use English as a second language, however, do try your best to word the cards as close to the way as the TCG does. Often if you are making an effect and you know the TCG has a card that uses similar wording then by all means compare what you are trying to do with that card. It's the method I use when creating my cards. A little effort on your part will make the card posting cycles go as smoothly as possible.

6. Do not submit cards that have pop cultural references. So please no cards that are based on television series, movies, anime, manga, games, music, etc… It’s not hard to think up of different names for these cards there’s no reason to start making cards based on Naruto, Bleach, etc… The biggest issue is that there will be multiple people who may want to create cards based on a pop culture reference and it'll become a headache trying to moderate who gets to make cards for that reference. Any cards that break this rule will be excluded from subsequent phases.

7. Please try to avoid creating new Types, Sub-Types, Spells, Traps, etc… Try to make cards that support what the TCG/OCG allows for. Any new Type, Sub-Type, Spell Type, Trap Type will not be accepted. There will be special events when people will compete to make 1 of those.

8. During each set probably 1 theme only will be accepted. Themes cannot be submitted if there is no group that allows it. ( for more details read bellow in explanation how Submission Phase works). Otherwise all we will get is a large card pool of individual themes. That makes dueling no fun since everyone will just start using their own themes and we lose the purpose of what we are trying to do.

9. If you are submitting a theme, be careful of the synergy you create with them. We don’t need themes that field swarm and OTK/FTK your opponent on a consistent basis. We don’t need themes that totally shut out everything your opponent does easily. I don’t mind a toolbox theme or a control theme but be careful at how easy it does to achieve those goals. There has to be checks and balances to your theme. Any themes that are deemed to be broken will be subject to banning but they will be subjected to editing first so that they can be usable. For example, we don’t need to have every theme with a stratros, destiny draw, etc... We need creativity and doing things like that only stifles it.

10. You cannot submit card images that already exist in the TCG or OCG or YGO anime.

11. You cannot submit photographs as the images you want for your cards.

12. You cannot submit inappropriate images for your cards.

13. All images should be cartoon style, and have similar style, so look in our already made sets how pictures of our cards look like.

List of categories that are restricted. You cannot submit cards that fit in any of this categories. If you do, you will be warned about it during Elimination Phase, so you don't need to check it right now. ( and this list will become bigger, and bigger as new sets will come )

[spoiler=RESTRICTED CATEGORIES LIST]

1) Mass Spell/Trap removal (Heavy Storm)

2) Generic single Spell/Trap removal in form as Spell/Trap

3) Mirror Force clone with tweak.

4) Torrential Tribute clone with tweak.

5) Generic staple monster that destroy spells/traps. (Breaker The Magical Warrior)

6) Generic staple monster that can get rid of any card on field with card effect. (Snipe Hunter)

7) Generic Spell/Trap that destroy 1 face-up monster on field.

8) Generic staple card that special summons monster(s) from graveyard.

9) Staple Counter Trap that negates some or any activations of card effects

10) Staple Continuous Spell/Trap card that stalls.

11) Staple generic monster that search for monsters in deck, and adds them to hand.

12) Staple card that enable player to draw cards

13) Staple Normal Spell that search for specific Type of monster in Deck and add it to players hand.

[spoiler=Other Rules]

1) During Elimination/Final Phase we got all rights to change your cards.

2) Changes of cards outside of Elimination/Final Phase will be noticable at end of set that is in production.

3) Cards can be changed after they are finalized only because of balancing. This includes actually anything, and it will be accepted if that change makes game better, even by inch. For any other changes, team will decide will it be accepted or not.

4) This is not TCG. So, considering that, we don't need to follow anything from TCG/OCG. Any arguments that says that something like that is in TCG so it should be in CCG as well are worth 0 here except if subject is about balance.

5) There needs to be end date written for each phase, and that date will not be changed except at least 30% of active people agrees that it should be changed.

[spoiler=CCG Tournament Rules]

There will be probably tournament each month, and here are some rules that will probably be active for each tournament, except if said otherwise in first post of tournament thread.

Only cards from CCG Sets that are finished can be used.

Probably each tourney will start with few swiss rounds ( everyone in same groups will play against all others in sme group ), and then x number of people that was best will go to next round which will have elimination character probably.

What is important to say is that from people that go to next round, worse one from first group will duel best one from other group etc.

For example 1stA vs 4thB , 2ndA vs 3rdB, 3rdA vs 2ndB, 4thA vs 1stB....

Everyone should make contact with their opponent within 3 days. Please send your opponent a PM on this forum and post here when you have done so. (Find their nick from where they posted on this thread to send them a PM). It would be best to arrange a meet using some instant messaging program, or ideally on our chat server irc.scrollrack.com (http://www.createdcardgame.com/page/IRC+Chat for more info)

If you make contact with your opponent within the first 3 days and your opponent does not respond, you will be given the win for that match. If both players make contact but cannot find a sufficient time for the duel to take place, it will be a double-loss. If neither player contacts each other, and the duel does not take place, it will be a double-loss.

There will be prizes for best duelists in form of reputation points and other rewards as right to submit any card for CCG without going through voting phase. Cards like that will still need to follow our basic rules, and they will be rebalanced, and edited if needed.

WHERE I CAN FIND DUEL??? HOW I CAN DUEL??

A : One of best ways to find a duel is to join as at our IRC server. You can duel using program Yugioh Virtual Desktop. That is all you need.

You need to use this program for dueling.

[spoiler=YVD HELP]

YVD Installer (This is program that is needed for playing Yu-Gi-Oh! CCG over internet and it is also easy to throw in your own CCG cards.)

http://www.xerocreative.com/downloads/90installer.msi

After downloading the YVD program from xerocreative.com go here : C:\Program Files\Yugioh Virtual Dueling\ (or to the folder where you installed YVD) and find the file labeled YVD User Manual. After reading the manual I’m sure you will gain a better understanding of how to duel. If you are still having issues please ask us on this forum or in the irc channel.

After you have our CCG Set in YVD format, go to C:\Program Files\Yugioh Virtual Dueling\, and open YVD.set file with Notepad program. Click right click, choose select all, and then delete everything. Then, open with notepad our CCG Set, select all there, and copy. Paste everything to original yvd.set file, and then save. Now run YVD program, and you will see our cards.

Another way to do this is to download our CCG set, and then change it name to YVD.set ... then copy it , and paste it in

C:\Program Files\Yugioh Virtual Dueling\ , overwritte old file, and that is all, job complete...now you can duel with our cards..

[spoiler=Transforming cards to YVD format && Resizing images]

How YVD Recognizes Cards:

In the folder where you installed/extracted YVD you'll see a file labelled as YVD but if you don't have the extension hidden it'll be labelled as yvd.set. This file is just a plain text file. If you double click the file it may ask you to select what program you want to use to open it. Select notepad and you'll be able to edit this file and add cards. Here are examples of how yvd recognizes each card type. All cards in YVD follow this format ||||||||||| where pertinent info is put in between the || but each || is meant for a specific thing.

Monster cards use the following format:

|Name|Card #|Set Name|Type of Monster|Attribute|Level||ATK|DEF|Flavor text or effect text.|

Lets take a look at the Dark Magician for example:

|Dark Magician|2;5;1;6;1;4;7;3|DDS;LOB;BPT;SDY;SYE;PCY;DB1;SD6|Spellcaster|Dark|7||250 0|2100|The ultimate wizard in terms of attack and defense.|

So to break this down. The first part |Dark Magician| is for the card name. The 2nd |2;5;etc...| shows what card number it is in the corresponding set, which is the section labelled as |DDS;LOB;etc...|. Those are the set names for example TDGS is the set label for The Duelist Genesis. So in essence it's reading it as card 2 for DDS. So Dark Magician can be found as card 2 in the DDS set or card 5 in the LOB set. This is done primarily to show where this card was available in what sets, structure decks, promos, etc... it was in as well as give the ability to add additional card images. So since the Dark Magician had various card artwork you would be able to select the image you like the most based on what set that image was used in. So for example if an alternative artwork existed in LOB then because of the |2;5;|DDS;LOB| part you can select card 5 in the LOB set for the Dark Magician's alternative artwork. Experiment with this if you have issues understanding what I mean. The next part |Spellcaster| obviously lists what type the monster is and because it is a normal monster that's all it needs. If it was an effect monster it would be labelled as |Spellcaster/Effect|. Basically, whatever else this card might be considered will be followed by a "/". So the most complicated it could be would be |Spellcaster/Gemini/Tuner/Synchro/Effect| and so on. The next part |Dark| lists what attribute it is while |7| lists what level it is. |2500|2100| is the ATK and DEF respectively so this is a 2500 ATK 2100 DEF monster. The |The ultimate wizard in terms of attack and defense.| is where the flavor text of a normal monster would go or the effect text of an effect monster would go.

Now lets look at a spell card.

|Name|Card #|Set Name|Spell Card|Spell||Type of Spell|||effect text here|

Type of spells are quick-plays, equips, or continuous spells. You can leave that field blank if it's just a normal spell card.

Now lets look at a trap card.

|Name|Card #|Set Name|Trap Card|Trap||Type of Trap|||Effect text here.|

Again, type of trap is for continuous or counter traps. You can leave that field blank if it's a normal trap card.

So putting it altogether if you type in your cards using those conventions in the yvd.set file they will now be part of the card database. Save the file and exit from the .set file. Open up the YVD program and you'll see that your cards are in the database if you search for them. For the purpose the Created Card Game we'll create a brand new set file for our cards. I'll be distributing the completed set file over a direct download site. However, if you are looking for the on the fly updates then visit the IRC channel.

RESIZING IMAGES :

Well, you need to resize each picture to 40x40, and save it in GIF format.

Name of each picture must match name of coresponding card in YVD set.

Any blank spaces are left out. For example if card name is Flame Warrior, name of picture will be : flamewarrior (i think that small/big letters doesn't matter).

Each picture must be placed in 1 folder that have name of set. For example if set name is CCG0, then folder name will be ccg0 .

For testing, place that folder in your YVD folder in Pictures folder, then run YVD.

I usually resize images using Irfanview program that you can download here :

http://www.irfanview.com/download_sites.htm

After opening image with Irfanview , click on Image -> Resize/Resample, and there you can set your desired size.

This guy's fourth post became a sticky? Ridiculously impressive.

On the basis that he stay and support this thread.

This won't be an issue at all. I have others who helped developed this idea as well so there will always be someone available to keep the project alive.

@CrimsonWolf896:

Yea, that won't be an issue at all.

To everyone who is joining I appreciate the tasks you are signing up for and please be aware that you are all free to join in on the dueling aspect as well.

8. Chose a server (profile) you made

9. Double click on the profile

10. Write a nickname then click on connect

11. When you are connected you can register your nickname but it is not necessary if you don’t want to join rooms like #yvd. I would prefer it if you did register your nickname as the server will rename your nick as Guest after a minute. To register your nickname type in /msg nickserv register . You will get a confirmation e-mail sent to you. Follow the instructions of the e-mail and your nick will be registered.

12. Type /join #ccg then press ENTER and you’re in

TCG & OCG Images

http://www.xerocreative.com/downloads/allimages.zip

This is the image file that you need to put in the images folder where you installed YVD. This will display images for all of the cards.

|Name|Card #|Set Name|Type of Monster|Attribute|Level||ATK|DEF|Flavor text or effect text.|

Lets take a look at the Dark Magician for example:

|Dark Magician|2;5;1;6;1;4;7;3|DDS;LOB;BPT;SDY;SYE;PCY;DB1;SD6|Spellcaster|Dark|7||2500|2100|The ultimate wizard in terms of attack and defense.|

|Name|Card #|Set Name|Spell Card|Spell||Type of Spell|||effect text here|

Type of spells are quick-plays, equips, or continuous spells. You can leave that field blank if it's just a normal spell card.

Now lets look at a trap card.

|Name|Card #|Set Name|Trap Card|Trap||Type of Trap|||Effect text here.|

Card Submission Guidelines/Rules:

In order to get the feeling that this is a game and not card creation taking to an extreme, set submissions will only take place every 2-3 months. However, with that being said there will be times when a bonus submission stage will occur. This will be the equivalent of a Duel Terminal release or a bonus promo card. We can have some fun with this and put certain conditions on these bonus submissions. For example, a bonus promo could have each person submit 1 card to support a certain theme.

So the main question becomes how many cards does each person get to submit? From past experiences giving each person the ability to create a lot of cards (80 for example) ends up with a 500+ card pool for each set. That becomes extremely daunting for the testing phase and it seems really silly to have 500+ cards per set when the TCG/OCG only does about 100 cards per set every 3 months. The people who started this project with me know what the issues are with huge card pools. Primarily, these are the concerns:

1. It’s hard for new comers to try and form a deck if by the time we hit the 3rd card submissions we have a card pool of about 1000 that continues to grow.

2. It allows for a lot of mediocre to not so great cards being submitted.

3. It allows for some unexpected card combination's that are very broken.

So initially the way we are going to handle this is to allow each member submit a maximum of 50 cards, however, it will be up to the community to choose which cards will ultimately go into the testing phase. We are looking at allowing only 150-200 cards into the testing phase but this can change. This will keep the spirit of competing with other card creators alive as maybe your cards won’t make it into the testing phase. If the community chooses 300 cards and there is no agreement as to what to weed out then myself and a few others will determine the final count for the testing phase. During the testing phase it is up to the duelists to determine what cards are overpowered, underpowered, what combination's hurts the metagame and so forth. This will allow the creators of the cards to fix any of there cards that are broken or improve upon their cards. Another round of testing will commence after the edits. This will repeat until everyone is satisfied with the testing. Then we will make cuts to the cards until we have 100 cards in total for a set. The cards that make the final cut will then be finalized. Once a set has been finalized no further edits can be made to the cards unless there is some specific circumstance to the situation. We will give a time period for generic dueling so it doesn’t feel like we are here creating cards for the sake of creating them. We want to get the feeling that we have a game here. So there could be tournaments and other fun little events to help develop our metagame.

Once the cycle ends we will enter the next major set submissions and the process will repeat like this. Again, keep in mind that there will be opportunities for a bonus submission stage that will be more flexible than the main set submissions. However, I will leave this up to the community to decide whether you like the above idea or if not think up a method for card submissions that can satisfy everyone. This is a community project so your feedback is welcomed.

Next order of business is in regards to porting over existing cards from the TCG/OCG. I’m in favor of gathering an initial list of cards that we would like to see come over to the CCG; however, there are others who feel that we should make our own twists to staple cards like Heavy Storm for example. I will leave this decision to the community.

i would like to be a player... i will also b a card maker as well..

also i think the 1st set should consist of 150 cards then each set after that 100 so we don't get overcrowded but still will have a variety to pick from.!! and i am unsure at the moment about if we should use real cards maybe their should be a limit on how many u can use or something..

i have 1 or 2 questions...

i already have yvd installed is this a new 1 just for ccg or do i just use the normal yvd..??

are we going to use a specific set so we can find the created cards..??

when do the card makers have to start making the cards..??

I would like to say the guidelines I've posted for card submission cycles are not set in stone. Even though I said 2-3 months between submissions does not mean that's a definitive timeline. We can easily speed that next submission dates depending on how smoothly we operate as a community. Community feedback can change how we do our card submissions so please provide any suggestions if you have better ideas.

The 1st set will definitely contain more cards than the next few sets just because we starting things off.

1) No' date=' this will use the same YVD program as the TCG/OCG one. You can use it for the CCG as well.

2) We will be using a specific set file for the CCG so you don't have to make any adjustments to your TCG or OCG set file.

3) There's nothing stoping you from brain storming/creating cards right now, however, please refrain from posting them here until further notice. We are still ironing out the last few details regarding card submissions and what will be happening with the 1st CCG set.

There should at least be 1 or 2 people in the IRC channel right now but we may not be active at the time. Feel free to just idle there since other members will eventually be showing up from time-to-time. If you are trying to duel with the TCG/OCG you'll need to go to #yvd for that but you'll have to register your nick first. I've provided instructions on how to do that in a previous poast. The image files that xerocreative provides is not completely up-to-date so you'll either have to wait until someone makes them or you can make them yourself. I think this site (http://www.4shared.com/account/dir/5707997/8e801840/sharing.html) should have some of the ones you are missing with the exception of Gorz but you can easily make that one yourself.

There was people..how not? Also you cant expect that we all there all the time and always ready to duel or talk. :)

It is also stuff we was not inviting there anyway for now, not until all rules are set and all is clear. We cant duel when there are no cards made yet.

For TCG there are set images that contain all images for all cards. On link u downloaded i guess there are no all images because creator of that set didn't make them all.

AKC, I have a question: I have a few archetypes in Written Cards archetype that may or may not be a blast to use, but none of them have pictures. The thing is, I do not want to join your club, but may I just post one of my archetypes here so that this group can test them out? Or do I need to join or do something in order to submit my archetypes? You can either write the answers here or PM me, AKC.
