Mutant Monster RAEG-HAPYP
It's funny how this was limited while Caius is still at 3 It's also funny how Raiza was the only monarch limited discuss

MarbleZone
Ooh. A tribute effect for a bounce is so scarry in a world where Stardust Dragon and Solem Judgement reign supreme. Incidentally' date=' Stardust's effect doesn't block Raiza's. Also, now that it was mentioned... in a different meta, where decent cards [i']are[/i] good enough, instead of this format where games end in 3 turns, should this card be unlimited? I understand there are much bigger threats at the moment, and Tribute Summoning became partially obsolete, but in a meta without super-fast TeleDAD decks, for example, would it be acceptable to have Raiza and Caius at 3? In a meta without, it would not. But there is a certain need for the ban list to be altered with each new meta. In a time where TeleDAD reights supreme, there is no reason for Raiza to be Limited when it could be Semi-Limited. If you could even summon it, it would be a small defense against DAD. People are saying "Unban Raigeki and Harpies Feather Dust so we can battle against Tele-DAD dur hur hur" when they forget Tele-DAD can run those cards, and destroying Dark Armed Dragon is nothing big because there is still one left. Smashing Ground works alot better.

Plus, there's always Lightning Vortex to replace Regeki.
Father Wolf
should still be at 3, even though i hated when monarch decks reigned supreme but Raiza was never the problem.

Plus, there's always Lightning Vortex to replace Regeki. If you got DAD out, odds are their would be no Dark monster in your grave when he is destroyed.that's not the point. Raigeki would make Tele-DAD decks more of a pain in the ass to beat due to a costless monster nuke, meaning DaD wouldn't need to remove any monsters from the graveyard to kill anything, and he would unleash hell on your life points. Still, if he gets destroyed then there would be 4, yes yes, no more DaD, but they get summoned simultaneously anyway so, that's another problem. Lightning Vortex is win, but you might end up having a hand you must not discard anything from.

CrabHelmet
One nice thing about Monarchs was that, even when they had somewhere in the range of 12 of the Top 16 deck sat SJC's, there were so many different decktypes that even the two different strongest Monarch decktypes together (usually Macro and Twilight Circle) could generally only fill maybe 8 of the Top 16. Ont he other hand, when Tele-DAD takes 13 of the Top 16, you'll be lucky if even one of those 13 is the DDT-Tele-DAD variant.
