It's funny to see how some of you are so eager, borderline obsessed with getting moderating powers, yet by spamming this thread up like this just decreased, if not killed off your chances to become a mod of anything. Seriously, none of you would actually deserve to get a spot, especially in General, with that attitude.

I've just been wondering what the probability of YCMaker having a child or not has to do with this.;)

To settle the debate, he and FP are related, but Sushi has nothing to do with it. The mods team is spread all over the globe, more or less.

 

 

For now I can't tell if Flame Dragon is doing a good job or not. He's been a moderator for a few days only on a rather quiet section so it's hard to judge. I can say something about the choice itself, though.

One of the reasons which certainly spoke for Flame Dragon is that he has the attitude a moderator needs. Especially on a larger forum, even if you don’t have any past experience, being able to leave the arrogance trip aside is a great requirement.

 

About the whole “Raven will get this or that” business, I don’t feel like repeating myself, so I’m just going to lead you back to my first post in this thread. Are you really sure that I did a better job in General than I will ever be able to do in the Music/Movies section?:? I doubt it. In your case, I would concentrate on who the next 2 mods are going to be instead of sticking your claws on the General section.:P

 

As a matter of fact, the member I suggested possesses the quality Flame Dragon proved (see above).

Being too full of oneself and focussing on nothing else but that damn moderator position is NOT cool.=/

I have mentioned it before and will mention it again, Being a Mod is not something to wave around at other members. "LOOK AT ME I'M A MOD!" Most people don't seem to understand the responsibility of being a Mod, Luckily I hit the ground running and am proud of what I have achieved. For all of the members who applied, just remember that it's not all fun and Games. Also people who keep going on about their chances will only have their hopes dashed at the end.

I agree with your statement.

Moderation is not really about being a power-hungry, or banning-spree permit but is a great deal of responsibility that few members actually have the talent to succeed with this responsibility. Along the lines of a few demotions that took place(e.g. tea.leaf,[star]) they just said, 'What the Hell?Lets go Spam.'. Seriously, thats as bad as Nixon. Power Hungry fools shouldn't result into chaos in the forum. Actually, if you have been banned before, you don't really understand the responsibility of a moderator, and you should indeed not be a moderator.
