Skyson Posted March 2, 2009 Report Share Posted March 2, 2009 I think Icy and Browarod are a pretty amazing judging combo. Browarod can spot 50 things wrong with a card and still give it a "12.76/14.53" or something completely obscure like that, and people get all excited when the decimals make them look good. Browarod is one of the few people I've seen on these forums that actually looks at the grand scheme when rating a card, instead of finding one thing he dislikes and using it to downrate the whole thing. Something like, "OCG has a lot of errors, the ATK doesn't really match up to its Level, the art is kind of blurry, is that a watermark on the art? This card can be good in a Cloudian Deck, but that's kind of obscure. Good effort, though. 14.01/14.73" Icy's rates are usually pretty low, but often for a good reason. He occasionally gives really low rates for kind of silly reason, or usually just one simple reason that seems to overbear his entire rate. Like, "DEF is too high, 3/10." I think Icy gives out good scores, but doesn't usually put up great reasoning. Just a generalization, but that's what I see a lot. I respect both of them, Icy is even on my buddy list! I lost the PM about whatever idea we were talking about collaborating on, I think it was Spell/Trap Monsters. I dunno. Browarod is a good guy, too. I would love to take Browarod's detail spotting and switch it with Icy's fair grading, solving both problems at once. >_> Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Combined, they average out to about a 7/10 or a 9/13.65 or something... balanced... If they had you, Skyson as a judge, each rating would be 7 paragraphs long. As such, the grades might be closer and perhaps higher than might have been if Icy's grades were averaged in, but I'll do my best to make it a fair judging.
