Only 1 "Earthbound Immortal" monster can be face-up on the field. When there is no Field Spell Card face-up on the field' date=' this card is destroyed. Your opponent cannot select this card as an attack target. This card can attack your opponent directly. When this face-up card would be destroyed by battle, you can Tribute 1 monster you control to prevent this card being destroyed and halve your opponent's Life Points instead.[/quote']

Meh. The fact that it has to be destroyed by battle kind of totally killed it.

Anyone doesn't think of suiciding this monster? Just attack 1 monster with 2800 or more ATK' date=' Tribute 1 worthless monster you control, and voila! It doesn't get destroyed and your opponent's LP is halved.

but i prefer effects that don't rely on your opponent having a tougher monster

so basically, this card is easily abused?

Also' date=' if you don't like strategies involving your opponent having a tougher monster, that's actually important in some cases.

I bet you anything, He plays a Field spell with some crazy name like 'Banana Island' and it reduces the ATK of all Beast-Type monsters by 1000, And each turn he gets a Banana token. Which, of course, he will tribute to keep reducing RuaLeo's lifepoints by half.
