Page Stretching

(I have no idea how easy this is to do)

Usually when a large image is posted, it stretches the screen off to the right. I don't know if it's plausible, but there would be less page-stretching any stretched posts became centred (ie it stretched to the left and right).

Yes but even if the image was centered if it's really huge' date=' it can still stretch the screen.

Not only images, but thread titles, go to games and you'll see how your screen will get stretched from that Niiiinjaaaaa game that Mia made.

but I guess I support.

By no way near as much. I lose some 400 pixels on any large images that don't stretch to the left.

Big images should be automatically scaled down or put into links/ spoilers to prevent unwanted stretch-spam.

Scaled down would be a bad idea because usually if they're uploaded big they're meant to be viewed big. Spoilers would be a good idea, but not everyone has the same size screen.

Just put them in spoilers' date=' problem solved.

a. Some people don't.

b. What happens when you OPEN the spoiler and still have to scroll over?

1- If you are going to suggest something like this' date=' provide a script.

2- Page stretching is not that big a problem, people can just stick them in spoilers, or post a link to where the image can be viewed fullsized.

a. I don't know much about myBB or the details of this. Why should I have to provide a script that I'm not even sure is compatible? It's not like it would make it any more likely to by looked at, which is the first stage of getting it implemented.

b. See above.

Title: There's nothing you can do' date=' except ask the OP to shorten it.

Images: If you don't/can't put it in a spoiler box, post a click-able link.

NOW the problem is solved.

No support.

What do you mean "There's nothing you can do"? That's precisely what this thread aims to help! >>

Buy a monitor with a higher resolution. Problem solved.

Now don't ask for this' date=' as it's solvable by your own means.

[s'][/thread][/s]

I can view most of these images, BUT I HAVE TO SCROLL TO THE RIGHT. They will fit on my page, but not when 400 pixels are wasted.

PS. The required resolution with the current setup to view a 1680*1050 picture (which is my resolution and ideally the image I should be able to fit almost entirely on my screen) works out to be over 2000*whatever. Find me a laptop with that resolution and comparable components for under £1000 and I'll buy it.

No matter how big your monitor is' date=' it's the graphic's card that matters (As long as the monitor supports said resolution).

Anyway it is pretty gay and I agree with kizzi.

I've found in most cases with one monitor the graphics card is capable of a higher resolution. Anyway thanks.

Just resize the picture so ts not so big.

What if it's not my picture? >_>

I suppose it would be a good idea' date=' my support's in.

Thanks.

a. Some people don't.

b. What happens when you OPEN the spoiler and still have to scroll over?

Then dont open the spoilers.

What happens if I want to view the pictures? What happens if I'm not sure of the size of said pictures?

Meh, some people have Low Resolution screens so it could help them =/

Its quite simple really, All YCMaker has to do is make a custom MyCode and they aren't at all hard to make, but unless you scale the IMG down it would stretch the page so YCMaker only has to combine the IMG and Spoilercodes together for something like this;

[imgSPOILER]Big Image Here[/imgSPOILER]

Just an example of how you could use it, that would hide images in a spoiler without using the seperate spoiler codes...

Yes, but it's slower for more than one image. Anyway, that's not what I'm suggesting.
