Aesirson
I don't see how this can be lesser in power to Fissure and Smashing Ground. I know it destroys all over the field, but if you do have a monster with an ATK higher then your opponents monster, then you should be able to do the maths. Anyway, discuss. Alexis Rhodes
its good if you draw it and you opponent has a 2000 attack monster :)
Spiff!
unless you also have one. Fissure never hits your field. This has the chance to. If I had a big minster and he had a small one and lots of face downs, i'd rather have Fissure than Hammer shot.
Aesirson
Didn't think about that. Still, this card is not bad at all, only inferior to Smashing Ground and Fissure then?
~RoBoTiClOvEr~
Yeah the only chance would be if you set your monster and your opponent has a 2000 atk monster face up so it can be destroyed.
Frozen Judgment
It's an okay card. Though not as good as fissure or smashing ground. I prefer lightning vortex though. It may be a -1 but it's effect is good and you can use it when you got a dead draw.
Darkest Hour
I prefer Soul Taker. Except in cases vs. Thought Ruler Archfiend.
b0b3rt
Pretty much all other monster destruction spells are better then this since they can be used whenever your opp has a monster on the field.
Flame Dragon
Pretty much all other monster destruction spells are better then this since they can be used whenever your opp has a monster on the field. This. The main reason this isn't used isn't because it can hit you. It's because it can only it your opponent if their monster is in attack position. The Crimson King
I used this against Garoth when I had a Rai Oh on my field. I just switched the Rai Oh to defense, and that won me the duel.
Von Csent
The main reason this isn't used isn't because it can hit you. It's because it can only it your opponent if their monster is in attack position. I thought no one used face-up defense position anymore. If I had a big minster and he had a small one and lots of face downs' date=' i'd rather have Fissure than Hammer shot.[/quote'] Unless that small monster is Marshmallon, etc., just run it over with your monster. I don't see how this can be lesser in power to Fissure and Smashing Ground. I know it destroys all over the field' date=' but if you do have a monster with an ATK higher then your opponents monster, then you should be able to do the maths.[/quote'] This. b0b3rt
Because if you have a stronger monster then your opponent, it ends up being a dead draw.
Von Csent
But if you have the stronger monster, you are probably winning, so you should save the Hammer Shot for when your opponent top-decks a Judgment Dragon or other serious threat. When games can shift that quickly between leaders, a "dead draw" is an insurance policy for later.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
This card's effect is really great but the drawback is that it can also hurt you as well.
Von Csent
This card's effect is really great but the drawback is that it can also hurt you as well. Only if you are dumb enough to activate it without checking the field first.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yeah, that's true. But either way, I'd still prefer Soul Taker or Smashing Ground
