destron
So I was going to post the roleplay thread' date=' but then I decided to put the opening post here first. Organization XIII - Convergence of Reality It has only been over a year since the fall of Zero. The chaos he had unleashed upon the worlds seemed over, but it was too late. The worlds began to collide, their realities changing, even mixing. History itself became warped, trying to make everything the same. Ultimately, the worlds themselves had restarted themselves. The Veil had shattered, and all of reality can become one. Few retained knowledge of the worlds once being separate. People formed "guilds", as they all subconsciously befriended those they knew in their past existence. In the country of Fiore, there is a certain guild. Those who have lost their hearts to the darkness, but have retained the human form, gathered together to form Organization XIII. So what's the plot? It does not explain how this RP is going to play out or even why we would fight in the first place. I'm assuming KH, but there is still some explaining that must be done. Zexaeon
@Lar: II's OHKO can be used at will. It drains all the caster's MP, and reduces their HP to 1, but it instantly kills all enemies in the battle. If it was unleashed in a Battle Royale, it would be catastrophic. @Nex: That's not that great of an argument. =/ Just because one lives without a lot of magic doesn't make them stronger for it. It's all dependent on the individual. Hell, II has hardly any magic as a plot device (in fact, plot-wise, magic is supposed to be extremely rare and valuable), but that doesn't make them stronger for it. No, their biggest edge IS a certain spell. Besides, the Occurria are not capable of directly involving themselves in battle, as a result of them separating themselves from the mortal world. The only way they can interact with people is to talk to them, and to manipulate certain magical entities (like the Suncryst). The only way they can fight is to merge with someone (Venat and Vayne), in which case they become vulnerable to being killed. Also, since XI is an MMO, and therefore its characters are mostly people playing the game, we shouldn't be counting that. I - Not many advantages, aside from having Chaos on their side. II - Lord master of Hell, Holy Beast Phrekyos, and the Destroy Magic. III - Cloud of Darkness, but that's sorta it. IV - A party full of very powerful people, mighty summons, The Four Fiends. Quantity, but they lack a real 'Heavy-Hitter'. And Proto-Babil wasn't much of a challenge. V - Exdeath, but like CoD, it lacks any other distinct advantage. VI - In a fight where magic is going to be flying around like crazy, Kefka's status really makes a big difference. Then you've got Esper Terra, and a few noteworthy Espers. This game packs a real punch with sheer power. VII - Cloud, Vincent, Sephiroth, and Aerith are their biggest advantages, each one being more powerful than your "standard" FF character. However, it isn't quite enough to make a huge difference. White and Black Materia aren't very useful in a fight where the user doesn't have an eternity to charge it up. VII's biggest weapons are probably the, er, Weapons. VIII - A party full of characters that probably know more about what they're doing than most anyone else, a couple VERY powerful summons, Junctioning, Ultimecia, and Selphie's The End. This game is chock full of advantages in this fight. IX - Zidane and Kuja are both outrageously powerful in Trance Mode. Then there's the other Genomes. These should be advantage enough, but I'll also mention Necron and Alexander's most powerful incarnation. X - SIN. Probably the most powerful singular entity in the series so far, with its only weakness being a lack of a free will - its a rather mindless thing, and the one controlling it isn't really "at the wheel" anymore. However, we also have Aeons, some of the most powerful versions of Summons we've seen, as well Unsent. Can anyone from any other game perform a Sending? No? Then how do they plan on beating Seymour? This game's biggest weapon is the thing that all three of these things are born from - Pyreflies. Oh, and Zanmatou. XII - The only big advantage is the Ocurria possessing someone, which makes them beatable. Among the Espers, only Ultima, Zodiark, and Shemhazai have power noteworthy enough to mention. So, as you can see, the biggest advantages are held by VI, VIII, and X. VI beats just about any other game that tries to use magic, notwithstanding special cases, and has tons of raw power. VIII has Ultimecia (with a rather unique brand of magic, not really falling into the classification Kefka can manipulate), super trained warriors, and some might G.F.s for raw power. X has Pyreflies, an entity that is sort of magical but more spiritual, which all the characters can draw upon, meaning they have "magic" that Kefka can't touch, as well as near unbeatable people (Seymour). Phantom Roxas
Proto-Babil is pretty hard once his strategy changes. Tips?
Sploda
I don't own a DS, so I can't help you there. Sorry Roxas. However I do own every playstation made so far, So I might be able to help with Playstation games.
Nexev
... That's true I admit that but XI still wins. The question was if all the people in the game teamed up who would win. So far no one has managed to beat Absolute Virtue making him the most powerful boss ever. Plus you'd have to count every single person ever logged on as a hero and a person in the fight. That's a lot of enemies.
Sploda
True but how many of them actually have decent Equipment and spells? Lots of enemies and lots of easy kills.
Nexev
Except the one that had to be altered after it took of 18 hours of marathon fighting to kill it. Over 18 hours! And the invincible guy. And all the other character also meant to be challenging but not as much as them. Then yes, allot of easy kills.
The Warden
Bite your tongue Zex, Zalera is a powerful esper, Esper of DEATH Anyone? If you want OHKO, look at him. He can kill almost anything that doesn't resist death, he can heal himself using the holy spell (in the original version) and his ultimate attack? He inverts the friggin field, how is that not awesome?
Shradow
Grrrr... If only I had played more than FFI & FFII, I'd have somewhat of an idea of what you guys are talking about...
Zexaeon
And again, XI doesn't count. And if it did, we would only be counting actual characters, like Shantotto, not PCs. EDIT: Zalera is a level 1, Mediocre Esper. He's nothing special.
Freeshooter
Sorry for my inactivity, my computer is out of order and I'm currently on my sibling's laptop. My mother told me that it will be fixed within 48 hours. Damn, I really need to play Final Fantasy I and II >.
Infinitus
I don't feel like participating in the RP. Somebody else can have Sephiroth and Xemnas. ME!!! =D
The Warden
Level 1? At least Zalera has some character for a 'level 1'. He may not give you points with his Kill ability, but at least he's fun, he can pretty much clear a room. Shemhazai is a friggin mute with arrowguns, you get the same effect with Xigbar. Zexaeon
The point is he is not that powerful. This FF War thing is not a contest of coolness, character, or fanboyism. It's about Power. And Power is something Zalera does not have a lot of.
The Warden
Who needs power when you can click your fingers and stuff dies?
Zexaeon
And over the half of the opponents he'll be facing are immune to Death. And he will die in under thirty seconds. Look, you can worship Zalera all you want, but he isn't very powerful. Hell, even in FF Tactics he's an easy boss. EDIT: Oh, and let's not forget that Zalera himself is not immune to instant death techniques. Anima's Pain would kill him, as well as any other character's instant death attacks. Anima is a better Dark, Death, and overall cooler summon than Zalera in every way anyway.
The Warden
Okay, I like Zalera because of his laugh and because he's my sign, happy now? And Yojimbo is a better insta death summon than Anima, though he can't really be counted as a decent summon, whoever herd of paying a summon to fight, Jebus. Actually, I kinda hate the method of getting money in FFXII, seriously, drops, it relies on friggin drops.
Zexaeon
Yojimbo isn't really a Instant-Death summon by classification - he just has a move where he might do that. Besides, since it's a move that even hits bosses, it goes beyond what is normally classified as a Death move. Also, Zalera's laugh is just a reference to Kefka's. The Warden
I never heeard his laugh. Course, some of Aeons were from earlier games, Ifrit, Shiva and Bahamut are regulars, but the Magus Sisters were a good joke.
