Everybody HAS to love the Foo Fighters.

True dat.

For me' date=' anything by Metallica and Queen. My personal favorites for 'tallica include Fuel and the Unforgiven II. As for Queen, I think I'll have to say Good Old-Fashioned Loverboy and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Meh, my favorite from Metallica are either Master Of Puppets or One.

For Queen, either Bohemian Rhapsody or We Will Rock You.

Don't get me wrong, their old stuff was good. I just like the Load/ReLoad era better. But that's just me.

Heh, I guess if you love Queen then you love Rhapsody.

This thread needs more metalBLOODY MUSIC.!!!!!!

To DeMeNTeD: To be fair, heavy metal is also music.

Yes, dear OP.

Most of those artists you listed were and are posers, untalented hacks whose big budgets - and nothing else - propel them to the top of the charts.

Why don't you dabble in a bit of music history and geography - search out the best rock musicians and bands since the '60s (or, should you want to push a bit more, the '50s)? Why not even search out for the the greatest singers/bands/composers of all genres that you can think of - from classical to R&B to jazz?

Think about it.

Even the seventies has a lot of the best stuff. And there is music worth mentioning in the new millenium. Rap has a few good "songs" but I am more inclined to list it under poetry than actual music. Metal has a bunch of great music. Rock and Roll (both original and classic) has always been great.

"Since the '60s". Brush up on your grammar.

And, yes, there is music worth mentioning in the '00s, but they're so few and far between - and some of those magnificent odes aren't even in English (which isn't a problem for me, but is a problem for xenophobes and worse).
